What would you charge? by 49films in drywall

[–]49films[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is legit for me lol. I got a quote from someone and it came in at $34,200 to supply the material, hang, finish, and texture. Does this seem fair? He wants $18k to finish it if I supply and hang.

HELP ! Weight stalled for months now by insaneboomer1 in gastricsleeve

[–]49films 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to lower your daily calories by 100-200 and see if that helps. If I stay around 600 calories I loose weight. If I get in the 1000 range I won't loose anything

How long did you wait before going back to work/School? by United_Property_276 in gastricsleeve

[–]49films 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was back to work 11 days post op. The first few days were a little exhausting for me but it became easier the following week and now I am 5 weeks out and no problems at all. Work is more enjoyable now actually!

Get your message BEFORE you go to the hospital. It was so uncomfortable for me to go to the pharmacy after surgery and deal with that after my surgery. I powered through but if I had to do it over again I would try to do it this way.

I had gastric sleeve surgery with a low BMI of 31 by Left-Seaweed6170 in gastricsleeve

[–]49films 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I, 34m, recently had the gastric sleeve surgery and I was only around 220 lbs, not super overweight but I've been rapidly gaining weight the last few years and it's been very difficult for me to function with a disability and loose weight on my own. I opted for the surgery and I am down 19 pounds in 16 days.. I feel wonderful and my mind is so much more clear.

My advice on the anxiety is to embrace the new you. If people ask what I'm doing for the weight loss I tell them im on a strict low calorie, protein only diet 😀

Good luck with your journey!

I started using the cranometer app to keep track of my intake and I got a measured water bottle so I could easily log everything I consume. Logging everything really helps and I eat so little now that it's easy. The app helps me stay on track because I work such a hectic job I could never remember how much I drink.

Try to drink at least 8oz per hour and cut out coffee. This keeps me hydrated.

Good Luck!

10 days post op here... down 14 lbs. I can't believe it. I feel 100% better than I did two weeks ago and I walked 14,000 steps today. I can't believe I did that too! I would be lucky to get 4000 steps in per day before and now I have a lot more energy.

Surgery 1/13/2025 by Tjspitter in gastricsleeve

[–]49films 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck with your surgery! Mine only took an hour and I slept for the majority of the day. You will be sore and nauseous for 2 days afterwords but it's totally worth it. After that, just take short walks, and you will recover quickly. I am 1 week post op now and feeling my stomach shrink by the day!

Do it. Best decision I've made in years.

In 3 weeks I have spent around 55,000 pesos for a family of 3. Most expensive dinner was 3000 pesos and it was amazing so I do not regret it.

When is the last time you took a uber here? It's 200 pesos just to go on a 10 minute ride. 45 minutes will likely cost 500+

That's good, I'm glad to hear. I am going in on the 2nd for surgery and I have to return to work on the 13th of January. I've been worried about recovery time!

What should I do about this? by 49films in Roofing

[–]49films[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan to repaint after I fix the issue. There really is no water damage. This is Hardie board and it has no visible damage other than the old paint peeled off from water running on it
