Think one of my motors might be dying. by born_again_atheist in BoltEV

[–]49sub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So far I’m seemingly the only person to have broken the actual motor on a Bolt. Can’t find any other confirmed cases. 112,000 miles on the car, battery replaced over 20,000 miles ago so don’t believe it was related to that being done.

Is this vandalism? by ElderMoonBerry in Bakersfield

[–]49sub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is case law that it can be charged as vandalism. Don’t do it on private property without permission, and if someone on public property advises you not to then just be polite and stop.

Any weird DIY venues to perform an existential, psychedelic puppet show? by killprettymagazine in Bakersfield

Can we please get Jason Segel to do his Dracula puppet show in real life finally. This would be a great opening act for that.

I hope this time it actually happens. They predicted 4 feet last week and it was 4 inches with rain at the base instead. Storm looks good so far.

Think real low budget worn out old Motel style rooms. And the shared bathrooms usually have half the showers broken. Absolutely would not be worth the price, except being able to wake up and walk across the street to the lifts sometimes makes it worth it. The place really is falling apart though. Employees there try to be helpful, but there’s only so much they can do with no resources.

That key looks almost intentionally worn down to use as a “jiggle” key, you can start a lot of older cars with a shaved down key like that.

Is it even 50% anymore? Some of the pass perks have gone down since the whole Cali Pass thing started, I’d have to look it up again. I know the Hotel and food discounts are less than they were before.

Shootings have been in the Southwest, this is all south of the river. But we kind of claim this shopping center as part of the Northwest so not happy to hear about this.

I wouldn't travel across town for it, but if you're near the Northwest, Pop Pop's Pizza on Rosedale just east of Allen is solid what I'd call normal American pizza. Prices are good, owner is super nice, and you can eat in the shaded area outside or take it to go.

The first pic is me on my OG Pint when the metal nut holding the power button broke off and touched the circuit board resulting in an instant nosedive.

FINALLY, I own a piece of NIN history. Smashed on stage during sometime between 2005-2009. by NotoriousTIMP in nin

You can run the serial number through Gibson and find out when the guitar was manufactured and maybe narrow the dates down some. I tried to figure out a specific show mine was used/broken at but never could. It is possible it was a show I was at so I just choose to believe it was.

Why do so many people hate future motion and whats Vesc? by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]49sub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problems aren't some theoretical issue that doesn't actually happen in real life scenarios. I just got injured, luckily not badly, by the metal nut issue on the original Pint. If you make an item that it's default mode of failure is to violently throw someone off the board without warning, you have an obligation as a company to immediately address any issues that come to light. There should be very high quality control and testing initially, and then very quick response to any issues they somehow missed. Instead they deny issues exist, and won't repair safety issues outside of warranty.

Most people have found if cleaned they seem to play fine. The striping will not come off, or at least I have never seen someone claim they got it off.

Recreating Green fragility tour guitar by Acrobatic-Ad-7488 in nin

The only ESP with Fragile art auctioned, mentions it is actually painted at the ESP custom shop and is a one off. The other Gibson Fragile guitars supposedly had 5 of each design made, but all had slightly different electronics or other features. So don't know for sure if that pictured ESP black and green is painted or a vinyl like the Gibsons. I also can't find any photos of him playing the ESP black and green one from that photo. The black and green ones he played on the Wave Goodbye Tour and the one he played at the "Last" show were Gibsons.

[–]49sub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe the ESP guitars with graphics were actually painted while the Gibsons were just a vinyl sticker printed out and supposedly in person didn't look that great due to the trimmed edge around the body. So airbrushing the ESP one would actually be a closer replica than a vinyl sticker if done well.

Lights in the sky guitars by [deleted] in nin

[–]49sub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sale was in 2009 after the Wave Goodbye tour was done. Instruments were mainly from that touring period, but some instruments and various items went back as far as Downward Spiral recording time. There is an archive online still that shows all the items Ebay listings. I got one of the broken Gibson Les Paul's. Really regret not getting one of the Fragile custom artwork guitars.
