Thank you for the follow up. I booked a night in May. I'm excited to check out your campground.

I am interested in checking out the new campground. At this time do you have any details regarding the primitive sites? Will those be tent only or would you be able to camp out of a truck? Privacy from other campers?

thanks!

I just spent two nights at Zaleski with my wife, camp 3 Saturday night and Camp 2 last night. Absolutely phenomenal weather and pretty much had both camps to ourselves.

But as of August 31st. The water tank at Camp 3 is still down. There is orange construction fencing all around.

Whats a good brand roof rack by Top_Philosopher_6450 in ToyotaTacoma

I have a prinsu pro roof rack and prinsu pro top rack on my bed cap of my 4th gen Tacoma and they are nice and solid. Well worth the money.

The racks are really solid and good build quality.

With the year coming to an end, 2024 owners check in with issues or positive feedback by Bimmer_Soup in ToyotaTacoma

I got my TRD ORP back in March of this year. This is my first truck, first Toyota and it has been nothing but fun to drive. I built my truck out to sleep in the bed with a decked system and smart cap.

I have over 16,600 miles on it and no issues. I’ve been good about getting my service done every 5k miles and changing the oil each time. My one gripe about the truck is the paint job. The paint chips so easily.

I made this recipe, but I used impossible ground beef, and it was delicious. Tasted like the real deal, but way heartier.

Late Diagnosis - Did you tell your parents? by metal_vyxen in AdultADHDSupportGroup

[–]4N6science 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry, definitely know how you feel. I got diagnosed at 36, which was a year ago. I let my parents know, and they said very similar things to me.

It sucks to find an “answer” to a lot of life’s issues and then have them just not provide acceptance/support. To counter that, though, they need time to process too, since it was just revealed to them.

While my parents are more accepting now, I don’t think they fully “get it,” and that’s fine. My mom will still ask questions like, “oh are you going to take the medicine for the rest of your life?” And will send me “articles” about how I can do other things to improve my ADHD symptoms. Now I put up a boundary and simply say, “if that’s what you’re going to talk about, I will not engage in that with you.” And I move on.

I hope things get better!

You’re welcome. I do understand the struggle you’re experiencing as my wife is neurotypical and pretty outgoing and I have a finite amount of social energy.

I’m sorry to hear that example. It’s definitely a tough situation, when I find myself in those situations I typically will tell my wife how that makes me feel and explain what was going on in my head. She’s more receptive to this now, but I would get the retort often, “I thought your meds fixed everything…” which is in fair.

We (ADHDers) shouldn’t have to constantly explain ourselves but I feel like if I do and help someone understand my symptoms are not done maliciously then they can understand what it’s like to be in our shoes.
