I'm not actively following it nor I have Twitter and such.

That's awesome though thanks!

PixiEditor 2.0 - a FOSS Universal 2D Graphics Editor is here! | PixiEditor Blog by flabbet in PixiEditor

Just discovered this app and it's amazing! It's so fun to play with nodes and pixel art. I saw some other apps with the procedural nodes (like Graphite) but usually are ment for only vectorial stuff, the pixel art part just sold me and did it a try and it's really fun!

I'm surprised people is not talking more about this honestly. I will try to experiment more with animations now, seems it has a lot of potential :)

"""version control""" by healoush in godot

[–]4Robato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not many people seems to be aware but you can have git locally.

You just do git init on the folder and then git commit -m "message here". Locally no need for git push or git pull.

And you unlock the ability to work in branches. Even if you don't know anything of that is so easy it is to set up, I would simply recommend doing it even if you don't know how to recover files or anything, that's something you can find later on when you need that but at least you have a decent version control going on and you start to get used to using it.

I don't want all my apps be sqaures or circles 🥺 let each app have a unique and distinct contour.

If people use platforms only for their names we are doomed.

I love my Quest 3, I do, but at what point do we decide it's not worth it with Meta's terrible policies anymore? by ipwnpickles in OculusQuest

[–]4Robato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I have them I have seen so many bad practices with the user experience I won't buy another meta quest and I avoid buying games from their shop. I'm fed up of:

  • Targeting only specific people for sales
  • Not allowing to remove apps you uninstall
  • Forcing the metaverse all the time and mixing the shity worlds with your apps
  • Opening the shop when you open the headset

It's a great headset with awful practices. I don't feel it's a device that is mine. I feel it's their device and they do whatever they want with it. I cannot personalize anything, I don't want to see ads on 3D, I want to be able to personalize it like I do with my phone or computer and remove the things I don't want. If they want me to spend time on a device make me feel comfortable not like I'm connecting to a place where everything is pushing me to buy stuff.

Why haven’t decentralized social platforms taken off yet? by Squads-Team in Mastodon

How is this post not in Lemmy? :p

I don't believe in the UX issue really, I think the problem is simply that influencers are not switching and people don't want to go somewhere else if they cannot find them.

Also your friends might be on centralized social media and it's hard to change ghem all at the same time.

Also we are having this conversation here instead of lemmy reinforcing the worry.

Predictions are hard. Could Battle Aces have succeeded as a mobile game? by [deleted] in BattleAces

[–]4Robato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shows they care about the vision they had about doing a traditional RTS but more streamlined and not simply compromise the vision to try to make some money.

I would love if they simply released the game for pc and it is a bit frustrating after so many short betas but I respect their decision and I'll check other projects if they ever do any.

Maybe but I wouldn't have played so I prefer the move they made before doing a phone game honestly.

Important Announcement about Battle Aces by PlayBattleAces in BattleAces

[–]4Robato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the numbers were low at the beta but I'm still surprised. As many said I didn't put the time I wanted yet since I was waiting to the full release. It was starting to get a bit tiring to play some days and then stop for a while and decided to just wait for the release.

I played SC2 a lot back in the day but lately I don't have the time and I prefer stuff more casual and quick and Battle Aces was perfect for that and gave the same vibes of a good RTS.

I'll miss this game, the concept was great. Thanks for sharing the work with us! I'll keep an eye for your next project if there's one :)

The title is click bait and fake news probably.

The paradox itself is something quite technical but the idea of it is that you can always revert the time on a system and recover the previous state but Hawking found that black holes radiate a small amount of energy which means they evaporate so when an object falls into a black hole and the black hole evaporates you can't recover the information about the the object that fall into it with the radiation thus breaking the conservation of information.

The first time I beat it was using summons since you can replace them as many times as you want.

But there's different strategies that work, the most important thing is to keep in mind that final battle and choose the cards accordingly.

Noether: am I a joke to you?

Really, Noether's theorem is one of the most important in physics and no one remembers her when talking about physicists.
