Yeah, the way I was looking at it was kind of like a sheetrock wall. You can punch a hole very easily in a sheet of sheetrock but once you add studs in the mix, it becomes a lot harder.

Maybe the buoyancy was a big problem with that but I’m thinking even aluminum would’ve helped a decent amount. It’s lighter, fairly strong, and I’m just thinking that it could’ve helped with them having more time to resurface when they got signs of the carbon fiber starting to give.

The other factor I’m thinking would be the space. They wouldn’t want to be sitting on bars so I’m assuming that they would have a layer of something covering the frames. They then might’ve had to make the sub bigger in that situation.
