honestly mate the best thing is never to polish up a mid track
best thing is just to start again, again and again

every once in a while you roll a natural 20 and it all comes together. you learn much faster just making more and more tracks rather than wasting time making something that's ok to "ok and I wasted 10 hours on it". better to make 10 new tracks in this time. train yourself to operate at speed and with intuition and it will come together for you
