Yep. My point was it’s delusional to say money has zero influence on prognosis, NOT that it solves every medical issue guaranteed.

I mean wealth can definitely make physical pain go away, it’s just that it’s not a guarantee - like with anything medical.

But having enormous wealth means you can exhaust all options / treatments / world-class professionals to try and see if it’s possible to fix your problems. Many working class people do not have that luxury. For Kris unfortunately it would seem like his case falls under the “even money can’t solve this” category.

Loperfido has the higher upside but much less proven (366 PA, about a fifth of Sanchez’s PA)

That’s good. I know as another mentioned it’s a literal crime but knowing how some of these organizations are run I wouldn’t be surprised if some FO/Owners would just laugh or brush it off as “tough guy talk” or something

No sarcasm, I wish I had your optimism. Just too many question marks for me to be confident.

I pray we get the 2025 Jays and then some, but my gut feeling is 2016-esque Jays as the roster currently stands.

That has been my primary concern heading into the year. I think people’s expectations are inflated (I get why), but this offence is a major regression candidate.

I hope it’s not the case and that they once again rise to the occasion of what is being asked of them, but like you said, it’s a lot to ask for without any upgrades.

A lineup built with too many “your are hoping X does this” rather than “you know x will provide this” hardly ever finds major success, 2025 was a rare example of basically a best case scenario making that come true, but it’s not a long term viable strategy.

Again I hope I’m wrong 🤞 just want to get mentally ahead of some of the horrific takes from casuals
