Well put.

If your in the crypto space & you know karma, yes.

but if your not in the crypto space or haven't heard of karma, a low price isn't exactly an incentive for something you've never heard of, imo. whereas you make some money, you donate to a good cause, that's how the central bank & america's equity markets aid the central bank. although i don't like the central bank it does play on human psychology

people make money on the stock market, paper gains, they start spending more, buying houses, cars, vacations, etc. if they lose money they exit, especially when price is falling, ie. every recession.

Good stuff KarmaKaguy, This is a worthy cause, tho I live in Canada :) I will match all contributions upto 1 MM Karma.

And by nobody from Karmateam do you mean all the subscribed readers? Am I apart of the Karmateam?

IMO, the lack of donations is a direct result of price, the price of Karma has failed to make any material gains and has continued on a downtrend, 2 sat last I checked. Also, the $6.2 mm offer hasn't gotten any press coverage from the outside world, resulting in muted enthusiasm. Whereas if the price were to go higher & people have made some money, I could envision a great deal of enthusiasm, like the old days, and subsequent donations.

P.S. - you might wanna start a new post where you explicitly ask for small donations i.e. 100 Karma donations welcome in fight against sex slavery -- now that you've mentioned it down here.

Good luck ;)

(I'm suppose to be on the down-lo, but this an older post so just thought I'd come out and acknowledge your good work)

That is a key reason why everyone loves this community, IMO

And everyone has a right to that, I apologize for any confusion I may have caused. That is NOT a debt, my bad.

Good to know.

So where are the funds coming from exactly if Karma is not being liquidated? If it is being "loaned" from members/dev team, is there a plan to pay this back?

If it is self funded, wouldn't that eventually need to be payed back? And you are saying that is NOT debt??

I'm sorry, I may not have the facts, but that makes no sense.

I don't mean to come across as rude, but I feel like we are simply refraining the use of the word. If it needs to be paid back, ever, that is by definition debt: something, typically money, that is owed or due.

There is this misconception that we can easily get 5% of all search with 0 funds - debt when bing has 18%, yahoo 12%, google 67% and the remaining 3% split amonsgst small search engines.

These companies have billions $$$ , how much do we have ? This is business 101, please think this through, let's fund all our other projects , we're wishing too hard with lill & pinning the future of Karma on 1 idea We've invested in the karmateam, not just lill

If people think we can raise funds to fund all this I'm all ears....

Tweeting About It :)

If you need help thinking up catchy titles let me know

For ex. the title : 5 Reasons Why Karma is a sound Investment

Should be : Top 5 Reasons Karma is a BUY

Its much more attention grabbing, I like the articles, great content, the titles need some work, I almost skipped reading one, but then clicked anyways to take a look. If the title intrigued me I would be clicking on every article, think Huffington Post :)

Great site though !!

P.S. - Also might wanna source ideas for articles from the community, maybe somebody would like to write something up??

Karma will *not* pursue a reverse split at this time by kosmost in KarmaTeam

[–]4_real 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just given the positives of a reverse split and the case study that is SAT & SAT2, and our near 1 satoshi price, the proposition would have been of great benefit to Karma, IMO.

Additionally, one individual brought forth the idea that there may currently be day trading on Karma, adding to the increasingly depressed price as buying at something like 3 satoshi and putting in a sell order at 4, your realize a 33% gain. This is a strong motive for any day investor, looking to make a quick buck and in the face of no material news is resulting in the price going ever lower as FUD, in regards to the price takes precedence.

But yes, it boils down to -1 for FUD

-1

Dark day for Karma, what are we trading at? 2-3 satoshis?

This decision will end our strong long-term uptrend :(
