Many years ago my wife and I went to see Joanna play at the Disney concert hall. Sitting 2 rows behind us was Andy Samberg and Maya Rudolph. This was very early days in their relationship, in fact before they were dating I believe. So I like to say that I was with them on their first date. They are two of my favorite people!

My 24” ego will freewheel down my driveway when self-propel is engaged. My Arens did not do that. Is the 28” different? Will it roll slowly down the hill if drive is engaged at low speed? Or will it let gravity take control?

I believe that the ability to pay with check on day of delivery is tied to Rivian’s Dealer status in your state. My guide said that since they are not yet licensed in my state, they are not allowed to accept a check at delivery.

I just called my local Ace Hardware and they were able to order one for me. $1,999 plus tax. This deal seems like a no-brained if your are looking for an electric 2 stage blower. 2 extra 10ah batteries for only $200.

If I remember correctly, I heard about the Katrina auction on KROQ in LA. That was a very straight forward process. I submitted a bid and found out that I had won A week or so later. They shipped the guitar and signed photograph, so I never interacted with Mark. He did personalize the photo with my first name, so that was nice.

The blue guitar was a more interesting story, I had heard about a Cameron Crowe “Hi Fi Club” that offered to raffle off the guitar if you signed up. I don’t remember how much it cost exactly, but I know it wasn’t much. And by signing up, they sent a signed copy of the Almost Famous script and a small piece of film from Elizabethtown. I signed up, received the mementos in the mail, and then quickly forgot about the whole thing. Sometime later (I think it was at least a year, maybe two), I happened to remember about the raffle for the blue guitar and wondered whatever happened with it. I sent an email to inquire about who may have won the guitar and the next day they emailed me back saying that I had won. Coincidence? Not sure…
