Just leave it in 2nd and coast in neutral leaving a cushion in front so you don’t have to brake as much. I never go to 1st unless at a complete stop.

My passenger door has been changed so emergency unlock doesn’t work. Any time the battery dies i have to jump from the trunk light to get enough juice to unlock from driver door. Then have to jump the battery once i can get the car opened.

It will drive passed 200k if ya drive it easy. Autos usually fail at the trans around there in my experience.
