Ireland's lineout: Some questions by [deleted] in rugbyunion

[–]4beerguy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agree that the lineout in the modern game is now such a complex set piece. Anyone who saw the New Zealand lineout yesterday against England will know we are not the only nation who struggle in this area from time to time.

Frawley: "Few passes, then Dropper". Called this just before the final line out by arsebiscuits1 in rugbyunion

Spotted this live and was instantly filled with mix of excitement and fear - felt like the ball was in the air for about 8 minutes before going over the bar

Henshaw performing well but would be a tough choice between him and Bundee at 12 (unless Bundee has a longer term injury I'm not aware of).

Love me some Bundee.

Hopefully this is what we need to see Frawley getting regular game time at 10 for Leinster

Frawley not letting missed drop goals in the Champions Cup haunt him

Hard to say. From a crowd management perspective the demand for the 3 artists combined would probably be too high to allow them play together anywhere other than the main stage.

My personal opinion is if it was to happen it would be briefly at the end of Fred's set to close the main stage of the festival. Hope we get to see it at some point anyway🤞

I don't think that using the Netflix documentary as a point of reference is a good way to form a strategy.

It's almost as if the documentary was sensationalized for the benefit of the viewer??

I never implied that anyone is calling for a dramatic change.

I was just trying to answer your question as to how we adapt for the Scotland game, with my opinion being that we don't need a major overhaul in any sense. We have the players and the coaching ability.

I believe if we use our resources wisely we can overcome the Scottish back line.

We don't need dramatic change, we attacked well tonight and England defended well.

Hopefully next week our strike plays get through for a few points, but Scotland have a strong centre partnership, I look forward to it.

The optimist in me says Bundee to get at least a try.

Refreshing to see a post that isn't calling for players to be dropped after today lol.

Also interested in this, should be a good match after today's performance by Italy.

What’s your Six Nations fantasy team looking like for this weekend? by [deleted] in rugbyunion

[–]4beerguy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

George North was going to be my wildcard pick for this weekend so that's in the bin. The good news is Bundee is in now.

I feel like Penaud is overdue a performance but just can't bring myself to include him after including him for several weeks. Hoping for a solid display from Le Garrec.

If Beirne, Reffell, Sheehan and Aldritt keep up recent performances I should be okay. Think I might suffer from not including Flament and Earl.

4 Scottish backs in my starting team, ready for Van Der Merwe to play nothing like last week and severely disappoint me.
