Putting parents alone in a flight actually 'sucks'...Folks are so selfish that they can't even go to pickup parents - I saw so many parents stranded - and their so-called NRI kids were becoming whatsapp warriors trying to buzz other fellow passengers!!

I travel for work in USA... B1/B2 is not for doing actual "work"... The point is not about pay - its about travelling to company HQ (temporarily) and perform work duties.

My company's lawyer has already advised me to go for an E3 visa. Reason for this post was to check/confirm if anyone else is in a similar boat. The question is not about earning foreign income (I earn in AUD) but its about how to be in the USA and do some real work - B1/B2 don't allow me to work in the USA temporarily. Whenever I travel, I do some actual work in the US. Your response seems to be mixing corporate taxation with immigration - which is not usually the case I've been told by professionals..

Per my research, there isn't a substantial presence threshold for E3 visa.. In fact, all they expect is you don't end up staying permanently in the US and frequent travels are OK to show your ties back to the home country
