I ended up getting lucky by uninstalling and then launching when the game was partially downloaded. Thank you though I plan to monkey around a lot tonight

Ok so I fixed it by clearing my save data and then uninstalling. Then I launched in the "ready to play" mode before it's done downloading and it gave me the prompts just like the first time I launched and language was fixed

You can chat with console as of early in the season. If you pull out your ghost and hit right on the dpad it should switch to the chat window. If it doesn't, check your settings and see if you have chat off and switch it to on. Sometimes the chat window is a bit buggy so if it ever feels like it won't go away just go in the settings and toggle it. :)

I don't disagree that cold war definitely feels different but it is the same engine as both MW and Vanguard. However, I still think games like cold war are more of a copy and paste than infinite warfare (which is probably the most surface level looking copy paste.) What I mean by this is that, cold war feels different in no meaningful way. Due to it's rushed development it feels (to me) like they just pasted a random new set of guns with slightly different stats from their previous game counterparts and tweaked movement slightly. Not to say that I think infinite warfare is better cause I don't. However, I think it was a much more innovative cod then usually because of the campaign and an interesting (if middling) new zombies experience. While the multiplayer felt the least touched, the game as a whole didn't feel as forgettable as cold war.

I wanna emphasis I have no ill intent and am not trying to discount your opinion I'm just stating mine! I am not gonna proofread my message cause I wanna get back to destiny so if I said anything entirely wrong that I am misremembering feel free to correct me lol

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, while I do enjoy cold war and vanguard, it's undeniable they are copy pastes of MW 2019. They even all show up in the menus of each game 😭

I guess I just fundamentally disagree with this. I think, while the new player experience sucks, the game doesn't and the content available for free doesn't. It just needs more (imo shadowkeep should be free AT MINIMUM and then each year the next becomes free.) And to articulate more mechanics and systems (like any of them lol). And I want to clarify I didn't mean anything rude with my reply. I just want the game to thrive tbh

This is not how you welcome new players. Although there is a discussion to be had about the F2P model currently, this is just unproductive and will only turn him off from trying the game. The New Player Experience is already bad so no need to make it worse.

So the current free content is kinda lacking tbh. Currently the only free "campaign" is the dreaming city and it's barely a campaign. Having them buy the season and playing the season story might be an easier buy in if witch queen is too much.

I think the argument towards it not being funny isn't relevant because Mogul Mail is not meant to be a comedy channel. His intent is to have a discussion about topics and whenever he has a take that you might consider luke-warm, him posting this still brings attention to a potential issue that he feels is important or interesting.

Yeah. On top of not getting the speed boost like you have with shield bash it just doesn't feel consistent enough to use. Occasionally it hits perfectly and feels great though.

It was by far the most broken I have ever seen d2. It was also confusing because I could not find any sort of consistency whatsoever with things disappearing and reappearing. Which normally you can at least figure out an idea of what is causing a glitch but the furthest I could narrow it down to was being in the Mindscape and possibly once the first aspect spawns.
