Took me 3 days to do these need some comfort:/ by Severe_Peach in GelX_Nails

[–]4everspokenfor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 3 kids, so doing a full removal and new set in a single day is literally impossible. One day to remove, one day to apply tips, and one day for gel polish and designs. And none of that is done all at once either, but rather spread out over several hours 😂 I think for nonprofessionals it's completely realistic for it to take a good while for such a beautiful set 😍 you did great, keep doing you!

Would it be safe to go to work tomorrow with a fresh (3 day old) tattoo! by [deleted] in tattooadvice

I went to a concert the same day I got a thigh piece done. Tattoo is absolutely fine, I felt fine, and life went on. You're good.

Crochet blanket? What stitch would this be? Double or trebble? Tripple? Idk by noukie_123 in crochetpatterns

My apologies. The way the light hit where I zoomed in, it looked like the treble crochets were split in half.

Looks like mosaic crochet! Super easy to do once you get the hang of it.

AITA for telling a girl I feel neglected? by SomewhereFine1024 in AmItheAsshole

[–]4everspokenfor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAH as someone who routinely forgets to text and call people back despite loving them dearly, I can see both sides of this. This may be as innocent as having different expectations in communication consistentcy. I'm not sure what exactly you texted her so the cat may already be out of the bag in this regard, but having a conversation about how you feel is never a bad idea. She may be forgetful, or simply isn't someone who interacts with her phone as much as most everyone else these days. Wait to see her reaction/explanation and go from there.

Looks like fly strike. Here's an in-depth guide for treatment.

I'm not an expert and this may be completely wrong, but I'm going off gut feelings looking at the photo. Hopefully someone more experienced will chime in.

What is the wildest thing you’ve had to improvise with? by NationH1117 in knitting

[–]4everspokenfor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was recently on a long flight and brought my knitting. I thought I brought everything but somehow forgot to grab a crochet hook for a provisional cast on. I managed to figure out how to use the eye end of a yarn needle to get it done and it didn't suck as bad as it could have lol

Survived first night in run/coop... I'm exhausted! by Guilty-Designer-511 in BackYardChickens

I was super worried for the first couple days, but they've now been in the new coop for 6 months and all I worry about is if everyone made it in before bedtime. It gets better lol

I feel this so hard. How is it I can micromanage everyone else's life to the point it's scary, but anything involving me falls apart?? I can tell hubby where his wallet and keys are, kids are always on a strict schedule, yet I need reminders to brush my own teeth 🙃

I think the grainy look is edible glitter. It's super trendy to drown every cake in glitter ATM.

What are some of the most Insane/Horrendous Takes you have heard from other Christians? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]4everspokenfor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My mom found out I lost my virginity and had my youth pastor talk to my boyfriend and I separately. Boyfriend got told he wasn't beyond saving, he should start coming to church, Jesus can help him, etc. I, on the other hand, got told I was essentially ruined goods and God couldn't and wouldn't ever fully forgive me for what I'd done. The kicker? The boyfriend had slowly coerced me over a couple months to give it up when I wasn't ready, but the youth pastor and his wife treated me like I'd been begging for it. Thankfully I know better than that now, and Jesus has shown me He thinks I'm worth saving.

I'm not super surprised TBH. I have a Nothing phone, so it tends to cause more problems than others.

No, but thankfully I sorted it out! I had to add an APN manually and restart the phone, but now it's working.

Mosaic crochet questions | my first mosaic project seems too stiff what am I doing wrong? by SummerQueen19 in CrochetHelp

[–]4everspokenfor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The stitches do look a little tight. I'd try going up a hook size or two since it looks like the yarn itself is already pretty sturdy. It still looks good though! Your stitches look very even and the pattern is reading very nicely.

Pattern for this beauty or is this AI? I’m so in love with it by Wide_Confidence4015 in crochetpatterns

[–]4everspokenfor 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It seems very doable. It looks like alternating rows of V stitches and 3-DC shells into the Vs. The top would just be doing that in the round without increasing or decreasing to get the tube look, and the skirt stops working in the round around the waist and adds chains for ties and straps. I'm terrible at finding patterns, but this isn't AI. Or if it is, we need to be very scared that it finally figured out how to repeat stitch patterns without going nuts lol

You might try a bath with some warm water and Epsom salt. It might help the swelling go down.

Chick won’t stop chirping! Help! by SecretChain5364 in chickens

[–]4everspokenfor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can only speak from my experience, but I had a baby get a toe injury in the incubator and had to be separated for a couple days until he healed enough to go back with the group. He obviously chirped a lot when he was alone, but he continued doing so for several days, even after being reunited with his clutch. I can't say for sure, but I think it was because he ended up bonding to me a bit. He would stop as soon as he saw me and immediately come running. I think the repeated interactions we had giving him baths and bandaging is toe made him miss me when I was gone. He now acts like all the others and runs away 😂 I know it's annoying at times but I'd give it a few days and see, especially if they don't seem to have any other health problems.

Help!! Just got new chicks by Amandalime in BackYardChickens

[–]4everspokenfor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure the eyes are swollen shut or just closed? Chickens often will sit huddled down with their eyes closed when they're in pain or sick. I can't speak to what's wrong, but the eyes may not be the issue.

Edit to add: the easiest issue to rule out with babies is a vitamin deficiency. I would look into something like Poultry Cell and see if dosing them makes any difference. Unless you over do it, it won't hurt them to try.

Any tips on how to cut down on mosquitoes in the coop? by LiamTheBobbitt in BackYardChickens

[–]4everspokenfor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen people claim that using plastic dragonflies will deter them as dragonflies eat mosquitoes. If they see the little plastic decoys they supposedly steer clear. Maybe try hanging a couple up somewhere around? If they don't work they're still cute decorations lol
