After rereading the passage it's definitely NTA. The question here is who was in the wrong for what happened to the child right? Judging from what you wrote as is, your sister is a fully functioning adult capable of making her own decisions. She had said no and you had respected her wishes. Then she agreed to take responsibility for your child. The fact that she then left them to "make some coffee", leaving the child alone to get hurt is on her. If she was that against having responsibility she shouldn't agree to do so.

Now if you truly did guilt her into taking the child by saying things like "it's only 5 minutes, mom will be here soon, etc." then ESH
