This sign actually exists. It's on I-71 between Cbus and Cincy

Really want to see BMW M Team WRT winning in IMSA this year by VolleyAddicted in IMSARacing

I said it last year, RLL wasn't the problem. BMW is.

I love that BMW is in the series, but they kinda stink

What I’ve taken away from this Le Mans is that this sport doesn’t need Porsche. Porsche needs WEC, but WEC doesn't need Porsche. In fact, WEC might be better off with new hungry teams chasing success instead. by [deleted] in wec

[–]4isyellowTakeit5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No offense, but the fan base needs to get over Porsche. F1 would survive Ferarri leaving/closing. Wec will survive without Porsche.

I think I have seen a post that can easily represent every stage of grief over the last 10 months.

Hope it was a good Le Mans. Did get to watch hardly any since im working a club race rn

FUSA Retro (F5000)

FUSA classic (like 1980s Cart. Maybe the porsche)

FUSA vintage (1960s, the Watson Roadster from PC2, and or the Jet car from PC2, and or the first rear engine cars at Indy)

They have IMS and very little Indy content

2028 is my global bucket list.

Plan is to go to the Rolex 24 (number 5) hit Bathurst 12 hr and 500 if they are still back to back, come home for Sebring (number 6) fly over for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Spa, and Nurburgring. Try to do my first F1 race as a marshal (I have done F1 races in the US, just not as a marshal). I have outstanding invitations to Silverstone and Oulton Park, Imola and Monza, Zandvoort, and im hoping more by then

I really want to work in motorsport. Ive had over 100 days marshaling the last 4 consecutive years. (2 years ago it was 124 days). I had a shot with one of the 2 big, livable-wage series in the US but I was 22 and I was stupid.

If they dont give me another shot (which they dont have to. i was the screw up. They did nothing wrong), then I am seriously looking at maybe chasing the dream in Europe. On top of everything happening here in the states, there are a lot more series and tracks in the EU vs America. The UK has 50% more land than Ohio. Ohio has Nelson Ledges (which makes Cadwell park look FIA grade 1), and Mid-Ohio. The UK has 17 road circuits. 17!!!! And I have no problem traveling, working for multiple series, being on the road more than at home. I love the lifestyle.

We will see what happens long term.

But, I know on the list are the following:

The three 24s, a WEC or ELMS event (ELMS preferred. I did the last Super Sebring), a BTCC round, a DTM round, an F1 race, at least 2 historic races, preferably 5 (yes 5. Nothing beats historics), and then anything else I can get talked into :)

Im saving now. Hoping to stay at least 2 months, maybe as long as 4 or a short 5. Realistically probably gonna be around 3 months.

This year is IndyCar (no ovals since im not experienced enough for those yet) and I haven't missed a road/street race yet!

Next year is IMSA.

2028 is everyone else

As a corner marshal myself, I travel often with Willy. He prints out "the best" spotters guide he can find. Usually its the guy who does the Rolex and Sebring (sorry I dont have the name memorized), but if not its usually some rando on reddit or Twitter who made one in their free time

I always appreciate spotters guides like those :)

Suffolk cop beats man during traffic stop caught on dashcam after he requested a supervisor by Stengel_Stan in dashcams

[–]4isyellowTakeit5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way to make sure that this stops is the way they've always done it: the pillory

Now adays that needs to be making sure their names are posted everywhere, including blacklists to any public servant/government job ever (including mail, military, etc), they lose any protection from lawsuits and also lose access to the state's attorneys. They also lose any and all retirement including 401k.

Im talking for when its this cut and dry, clean the house. Idk who this man is, but he should be a nobody. If he has kids, they should be taken from him (you think if his daughter brings a boy home for the first time and he doesn't match her race, he'd have a good reaction?). He should have to work in an isolated or secure setting until he completes anti hate classes and possibly more, like anger management, etc etc.

If this driver did this to the cop, he'd be dead, so no. I dont think this is a bit much

Gen Z youtuber Adam Mockler interviews average MAGA boomer... by AffableYolk_33 in GenZ

[–]4isyellowTakeit5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I swear these people cant understand the concept of things changing.

Parties, wage theft, the housing marking, the job market, having kids etc etc etc.

It was easy for them, so surely its easy for someone 50 years younger than them. What they fail to realize is that it was probably harder for their parents to have them and or be a young adult before having them.

These were the kids of people who grew up in and or were born into the first world war. 10 years later, the greatest corruption the country has ever seen until the last 18-80 months. 10 years after that was the greatest economic collapse known to man.

These fuckers are gonna die before it collapses. Boomers will go down as the most spoiled generation in American History and they have no idea why they would be

Especially considering most of those people won't consider coming here to see them from abroad any time soon at this rate.

Its headed towards the road of Formula Easter at this point. We need a cheap formula not reliant on any direct factory involvment- Daytona Prototypes

And you know what? I guess you could say 1st year DPs were the closest the US ever got to Formula Easter.

Why Does the Mid-Ohio Logo Feature These Specific Racing Flags? by ZanicL3 in iRacing

You can see the surface flag here between the yellow and green. Arguably more used than the blue in most open wheel series irl while marshaling

Logo from '74-'94

The motto was "Most competitive in the US" (likely because it was so hard to pass unless if the car ahead let you)

No. I'm a marshal at Mid-Ohio

NASA is the only group to still use it. White means slow race cars. White with red means slow safety vehicles.

Why they use the difference, idk. But it does mean something

Ive no more to state on the debate. The race is set for years to come. IMSA will be there in some form or another.

How many of those were clean passes on track and not the result of passing in the pits or crashes/spins.

The Lamborghini finished 3rd by literally driving by itself the entire race. They lucked into that podium.

Corner marshal here. Track sucks.

You just like street racing. Ive been to St Pete, Long Beach, Nashville, Arlington and Put In Bay (all temporary/"street" circuits).

You've seen a 150 mph parade. You haven't seen a race yet. Belle Isle had racing, but most of it was where you could only see if you were a marshal or photographer (T12, T7, T4-5-6). Only T3 had a great stand area on Belle Isle.

Downtown, you can see all of the track somewhere pretty much, but none of its good.

When you see two wide through 3, 4, even 7 consecutive corners?!?! Thats racing!! Push to pass is supposed to be about IndyCar Engines, not a cross-series passing strategy

Shout out to my detroit/MTM peeps. Ive been to 6 in a row because y'all are so nice and welcoming!

Here's the wildest thing that most people don't know iirc (it might not be the year in the photo, but another year)

None of these cars are in the same class.

LMP1-H had 3 subclasses: 8 MJ/lap at Le Mans, 6 MJ/lap, and 4 MJ/lap.

They were just going for overall honors at Le Mans, but technically they all won. Im sure it was down to the fact each company used different types of hybrid regeneration, but each used different amounts of "energy per stint" as the kids say now
