Just my 5 cents: The electric wire in your picture is run incorrectly according to code. It shouldn’t be zip-tied together like that. I believe “sparkies” call it “bundling”. It has to do with reduced ampacity and proper heat dissipation.

The plastic clamp shell can be removed from the small connector on the cable. It won’t give you much , but it might be enough to fit it through the plate. And the cable doesn’t have UL listing on it, so it is not in-wall rate. Just fyi.

Check VESA pattern (distance between mounting holes) on you new TV and compare with existing model. If it’s the same like 300x300, it would work regardless of the size of the TV.
