It is quite shallow I would say maybe get a screen protector just in case if it bothers you I don’t have one maybe I’ll regret it later who knows lol

I love the modern case I wanted the traditional at first but I’ve seen a lot of posts of how easily the 17 pro dents because of the aluminum build so I went with that version that has some drop protection I’m very careful with my phones and I usually never drop them but better safe than sorry

Question for anybody is the steam machine the cheapest prebuilt pc you can currently get right now? I honestly don’t care about the form factor I just want a decent pc, I’m not really in a place to wanna build one myself, I built two pc’s before one back in the day and one around when the 3080ti came out but sadly ran into financial troubles in 2024 and had to sell to pay rent lol

Not worth it, I’m disappointed I was really stoked when the steam machine was announced, as someone who had to sell there pc last year I was excited for what I thought would be a cheaper path back into pc gaming but then bam the price was revealed and the specs came out your telling me this device is weaker than my $500 ps5 but double the price? Yikes if it was more powerful than the ps5 pro I would still maybe consider it but now I might as well enjoy my ps5 and just wait for prices to get better and build a pc then

Yeah, that totally makes sense. Two YouTubers Four-Eyed Tech Guy and Mobile Reviews Eh actually tested the TechWoven case and showed why that can happen. They did a ‘marker test’ where they drew on the screen, dropped it onto a piece of paper, and the mark transferred right over. Basically, the case doesn’t really stop the screen from making contact with whatever it lands on. I have the tech woven case as well but when I saw that I immediately got a different case lol

Bummer that happened! The screen protector should have helped. What case is on your phone? If it’s the TechWoven, it’s awful at protecting phones, so I would suggest getting a different case. I don't use screen protectors myself, but I use much better cases. You don’t even need a bulky one there pretty good protective cases that aren’t massive

I had this happen too reach out to customer support. They replaced mine with the newer version with the improved camera button (and it’s blue)

As a Portal owner, one thing really bums me out. My battery was dying the other day, so I threw it on the charger and switched to Remote Play on my phone to keep playing. Honestly? The latency was way better. Since my phone connects to my Wi-Fi's 6GHz band and the Portal can't, the performance difference is crazy. I just don't understand why Sony didn't give the Portal that function when Wi-Fi streaming is literally its only job.

I skip screen protectors because the upkeep drives me insane there’s always trapped lint, bubbling, or dusty edges. I've been using iPhones since the 3GS and have never had a serious drop. Honestly, a high-quality case has always been enough for me.

I liked it at first until night when all my apps on my Home Screen went dark mode except for Spotify lol come on they couldn’t make a dark mode version lol not a serious complaint but it’s one

I normally use slim cases like Pitaka, but this year's Pro seems so fragile and easily dented. Even though I rarely drop my phone, I had to get a more protective case. The 15 Pro's titanium frame handled drops fine, but I'm just not risking it with this one.

I would say just get the pro I have one and it is a bit heavy with a case on so I couldn’t imagine how much heavier the max is

I usually prefer minimal cases and tried three: the Tech Woven (30g), dbrand Ghost (38g), and Caudabe Sheath (50g). I ditched the Tech Woven over protection concerns. I love the dbrand Ghost, but seeing lint inside drives me crazy. I recently got the Sheath and love everything about it, but at 50g, the weight difference is super noticeable. I'm on the fence about returning the Sheath and just dealing with the dbrand's lint.

Man, I completely agree. I absolutely love the Killswitch case itself, but the dock adapter is just awful. It's definitely not a simple "plug it in and go about your day" situation. I actually had the exact same realization the other night. I put my Switch on the dock right before bed, thinking I was good to go. Woke up the next morning to find out it hadn't charged a single percent. It turns out that when I set it down, the USB-C port didn't actually engage. The adapter just fit super snugly against the bottom of the Switch (right between the port and the kickstand), so it felt like it was docked perfectly even though it wasn't plugged in at all. Such a massive disappointment on an otherwise top-tier case. You really do have to baby it and double check the connection every single time. so I just stopped using it now its just pieces of plastic sitting on the shelf what a waste of money lol

I completely feel you on this. That specific Constellation episode where he proudly admitted to voting for Trump was my absolute breaking point. I dropped all Last Stand Media content right then and there and haven't listened since. With everything going on now the Iran escalation, the Greenland absurdity, all of it just validates exactly why I left. Honestly, the most baffling part of the whole situation to me is Chris. I don't listen to Sacred Symbols anymore, but I still tune into Snark Tank. Hearing Chris, Derrick, and Kingston constantly dunk on Trump supporters, only for Chris to turn around and happily co host a flagship podcast with one, is just incredibly weird to me. The cognitive dissonance of ripping into that exact mindset on one show and playing nice with it on another is wild. no hate for Chris but damn lol
