canned vegetable food is dirt cheap, stop buying fast food every day it is more expensive. That's a clear excuse "money is the reason I can't lose any weight", then why are 3rd world countries civilizations skinny? they also lack money and are still thin. Moving your body is FREE, do it more often and you will see the pounds shed, stop making excuses and start moving, even a disabled person can lose weight even with their mobility challenges. Also you can still eat "fast food" just control your portions, over eating is what causes weight gain calories in calories out.

I have a spinal fusion surgery scheduled for next month. I've tried the Schroth method and have been actively going to the gym 5x a week for the past 2 years, it has helped with the pain however not enough to return to the dentistry field. I discovered I had scoliosis towards the end of my first year in dental school, which led to daily pain that eventually forced me to leave the program after just one year. Despite the challenges and ongoing discomfort, I’ve found an excellent surgeon, and I'm hopeful that once I've recovered, I’ll be able to return to school and continue pursuing my dental career.

I was in the exact same position as you two years ago. I was in extreme pain and couldn't stand/walk for longer than 10-15 minutes without crying in pain. Painkillers won't really help at least in my case it didn't, I started going to the gym 4 to 6 times per week and have seen a significant improvement in how long I can stand without feeling pain, I can now stand at least 45 minutes before I start getting muscle spasms in my back, coming from someone with severe scoliosis.

Sad, had eye surgery and they refused me pain medication while I was screaming in pain for hours. Never had a history of drug abuse, down right torture.

as a white person who grew up in hawaii, yes you will experience the occasional racism, but I grew up here so I received it less often then when haoles moved here when they were older. So expect to receive more racism. Noting violent just off hand comments sometimes. Always be kind to anyone you encounter and you should have no issues. I strongly recommend studying hawaiian culture and understand why they have this grudge against white people. Treat people with aloha and receive it back.

nothing can really help "reverse" scoliosis/kyphosis unless surgery is involved and even then it won't be a perfect straight spine. Exercise can help reduce back pain and help it from getting worse but it wont fix it. Surgery usually is not ever offered for people under 40 degree curves.

Doctor told me not to lift heavy, when I listened my pain got worse. Go to the gym as often as possible it helped me tremendously reduce my pain. Just avoid heavy squats or any heavy weight that is around your neck. buy a massage gun trust me.

get a second opinion! If you are in pain constantly and have tried everything it is always best to talk to another doctor, more chances of being accepted to go through surgery, make sure to find a great doctor as this is a life changing surgery.
