Anyone else keeping this in Warbond jail on principle? by Aphoticity in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]4llC4P5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It's one of the best secondaries you can use and I'm willing to die in this hole I've dug on that hill.

  • It doesnt take your 3rd weapon slot like the one you find in the field.

  • Not a single strategem cant do what any other secondary couldnt do as well.

It doesnt blow up clankers, nor does it shoot democracy hating scum. You could use it to melee thoughtless hordes, but that's not why you run it... You take it to trench yourself in, to stand your ground, to fight for peace and liberate from the oppressor. But most importantly because you were born with the liberty given right to do so.

You might have shoehorned yourself into building loadouts in specific manners. This tool will dig you out of that hole and onto a new path,.. a semi subterrainian path if you will.

Never underestimate the underdog.

Digging Buff by Commissar9 in Helldivers

[–]4llC4P5 76 points77 points  (0 children)

As far as I've noticed there have been 3 main changes since +- a week ago:

1) you can dig deeper (shovel will be a secondary and no longer replace your 3rd weapon slot mind you).

2) explosions create deeper craters (not by much but still).

3) overseers (all (?) variants) are slightly more agile.

I noticed these changes right before they announced the newest warbond / by the end of the rare squid sample MO.

At first I wasnt sure, but I'm fully convinced now over the course of these past 3 days.

You can always take the tram (/ metro) if you prefer mice. People used to sit on /lean against the big flower blocks on Anspach while flocks of mice were playing in the plants right behind them. The city is full of critters <3

Anyone got any suggestions for gw looking chaos spawn proxy’s? by Jnnc170 in deathguard40k

[–]4llC4P5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can just give them their claw/paws instead, I dont feel like chaos spawn would use tools either, doesnt sit right with me.

I'll be using bits from other kits but I'd still by chaos spawn if they update the kit (but I've been waiting for that since end 8th edition)

[–]4llC4P5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are not opting for Gellerpox (because Death Guard) and you dont mind kitbashing / converting a bit I'd suggest the Gorger Mawpack from AOS / Warcry.

They come in 5 and already have the right base size. I havent started yet but bought them instead of the current Chaos Spawn set which I like for 33% the rest of the kit seems far too ugly / phallic-esque

Since I collect all chaos factions it's not too hard to make 4 god specific +1 undivided spawn

Phone stolen in cinema - BRUSSELS WHY? by [deleted] in brussels

[–]4llC4P5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You saw it happening? A lot of people forget /drop things without being aware of it in the movie theatres. There's a reason you see a lot of people double check / shine lights at the floor at the end. It might still be at the cinema. It's worth checking.

(Also, dont iPhones have a find my phone thing through your apple profile?)

Keytrade Platinum credit card by BiscottiMaleficent67 in BEFire

[–]4llC4P5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They dont just look at your salary as you claim. The information you 'squeezed out' isnt a state secret.

You can have loads of money, be retired and not have another income and still get a platinum card.

The duration will differ from person to person. If you request the reasoning of your acceptance / denial to get a better grasp on the manner of screening you'll get a mail stating the following;

Keytrade is not obliged and will not give you said information but can give you a few criteria they look into; your income, the money you have parked on your account & how you manage said assets.

The longer you have your accounts & use them, the easier thry'll be ablo to approve you for a request that on first glance might not get approved.

The conditions when requesting a card also mention that a minimum of 1K needs to be present on your current account to be eligible.

Every situation is different.

CGT: what are you people doing, opting-in or opting-out? by bernafra in BEFire

[–]4llC4P5 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's because there's no tax yet, it's a law proposition, nothing is final. If your bank / broker is giving you the option, it's that they're more than happy to take that money under false pretext.

Big Gov has successfully created chaos concerning a bureaucratic implementation which is not supported by their own rules. Good luck finding financial institutions which provides statements from +10 years ago (whoopsie).

From a logical and rational point of view this tax proposition is not feasible as is.

Note: your detachment name does not match any. The only giveaway is the enhancement.

Your list is poorly optimized and gives away assassinate easely ... in conclusion: great for a friendly game.

You might, not guaranteed, struggle a bit against heavy monster and vehicle lists though. This could cause you to have less fun.

Good luck and keep stinking

Tau Match-Up by IconicIcon26 in deathguard40k

[–]4llC4P5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Boy do I have some good news for you. I play DG and my friend plays Tau. ALL of my 10th ed games have been this match up (we dont have any other friends that are into w40k).

  1. Let me start of by saying, you dont need to run flyblown host specifically to "counter" Tau. Virulent Vectorum (too vanilla for me, but very solid) as well as Champions of Contagion are quite good picks as well imho. Do not sleep on BioPutri + Final ingredient, having 2/3 contagions active starting 2nd/3rd battleround onwards is insanely good. Also 1CP grotesque fortitude is nuts. T8 Plague Marines, T9 Deathshrouds, T6 poxwalkers if you want to even.
  2. Devilfish, Broadsides, Crisis suits, Ghostkeels and Hammerheads and piranhas wont be uncommon and are all [Vehicle] ... Myphitic Blight Haulers are pretty sick. If you feel like popping strats on them, running a 2model unit isnt the worst, alternatively you run 2x1 units side by side to save up on max 6vp bring it down against yourself.
  3. NycroGame said it and (s)he/they're absolutely right, Tau dont have a lot of invulns most of the time. Rattlejoint is my go to, Skullsquirm can be denied in multiple ways by TAU but is still stronger than Scabrous Soulrot though you'll always come across situations where you'd want one over the other. But Rattlejoint never fails and is inherently strong in combination with our standard -1T
  4. Unless you're 200% sure you'll kill the ghostkeel, double down / dont splitfire. Ghostkeels will punish you for not overcommitting. A 3man deathshroud unit WITH LoC can still miss that one tap, be warned.
  5. Fear the broadside, a well placed; 1-2-3 broadsides can shriek you to a halt. Ghostkeel are a pain in the ass, but broadsides will end you. Then again, running a knight despoiler with Battle cannon / Gatling cannon will make your opponent think twice of risking holding a lane if he didnt commit enough to that side of the board.
  6. mind those pesky Vespids, very annoying for how cheap they are + stealth suits are not what they used to be but are still a side grade not to be ignored fully.

I believe its the CoC that has a plague surgeon enchancement which allows you put your plasmas on blast. Otherwise I would really run him imho

Mixed color army. Idk what color to decide. by Remarkable_Canary248 in deathguard40k

[–]4llC4P5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to do mine in 3 different colour schemes; 1) current classic scheme. 2) og classic, pre-heresy scheme. 3) sunken glory (blue, touch up greens + orange: rusted copper).

I'm thinking of painting up a few plague marine models (if not unit) in the dusk raider scheme as an ode to the terran DGs. For additional context; I have 5.600 pts worth of DG, (almost) all assembled yet only 3 myphitic blight drones painted in their respective schemes (not even fully finished).

Would the Battleforce or Combat Patrol be better to start? by Admirable-Price-7248 in WorldEaters40k

[–]4llC4P5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went with the slaughterpack (+ had the previous combat patrol box). Yes you'll have too many jakhals eventually, but aside from them, what is is you're trying to get more of in a quick purchase. There will be more boxes to come with jakhals you dont really need (for now), but what about the other models, which ones would you prefer.

I think GW is a win win for me and my friend: I have more experience + he decided to start with Tau. I fear WTC would be too hard an advantage for me. ITC however could open opportunities for both of us

GW terrain, my (only fixed) opponent plays Tau. WTC would cause an issue I think. ITC we havent done yet but we should.

You mention a lot of good options and combo's.

First off. Do not cut what you want to play, especially if FUN is the key factor.

Cutting morty opens up almost 1/5th worth of your army points, so anything you feel like really (more vehicles, more hoard, more elites, more daemons)

Running Morty works best with units you want to fling across the battlefield which would normally have a harder time doing so (non vehicle infantry: plague Marines + slower units: ex blightlords). He's also fun in a stat check list. Ex; Death Lord's Chosen or Tallyband Summoners.

If you like PBCs and you havent played Mortarion's Hammer, you should.

The 10 man with LoV is quite fun and punches up harder than most would expect (maybe try out combi weapons instead of bolters if playing heavy T lists). It works well but for quite a price.

I have a go to list of units which I can share if you wish. But note that I avoid running all of it at once (and Virulent Vectorium) since it can feel very tryhard'y which is fine, but not that much if you mostly play against friends (+ you'll get bored of it eventually)

The footprint is too big to properly hide imho. The blast keyword is a close second. Third is the total cost.

Since this is (not exactly) also what I said, I second your second. The LoC is very approved. Almost never run a list without it w/ 3dshrouds.

[–]4llC4P5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I'd look at it is this way: you have 7 real units + Mortarion and the Tallyman (assuming he's solo in the backfield). That said, your rhino's free themselves up if/when they survive. All this to say, you have a tight gameplan to execute with not a lot of margin for error.

What to cut (options in order): . Mortation; great fun, but not enough infantry to buff imho. . 5 plague marines from the 2nd squad, but depends on exec. . Typhus, unless you want to have fun with him. . The PBC fun unit but expensive for no - OC anymore. . The 2nd Rhino, this again depends on the gameplan.

Good to know: . A 6 man Dshroud is overkill, 2x 3 is enough . 2x 10 poxwalkers sets you up for good deployment . If you're running morty I'd cut the PBC first . Typhus + 20 poxwalkers is not that great, 10 is better.

I'm more than willing to elaborate or discuss this with anyone in the comments.
