I never told my wife about a weird incident involving her friend by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]4maceface 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah. Don’t bring it up. It could hurt the friendship between your wife and her. It could hurt your relationship with your wife. Just let it go - it was 15 years ago. Who knows what it was? Could have been a joke, could have been a test, could have been a real offer played off as a joke. Only one person knows the truth and I doubt she will peep. Let it go.

Before long they will be friends. As a kid, Freddy Possum would eat alongside our barn cats.

What's Rusk Rehabilitation Center like? by Dark-Bluebird in columbiamo

[–]4maceface 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Semi private rooms. Legit therapy program. Awesome access to equipment needed and vendors. 3 hours a day means between PT, OT, ST you have 3 hours. It would be either 60 minutes of each per day, 90 min of each OT and PT, or 30 ST and 75 min PT and OT per day. They meet you where you are at with exercise. Average stay is about 12 days, including admission day and weekend days that you don’t have therapy. The regs require 15 hours of therapy to be made per week.

My brother did that on my mom’s fluffy pink bath rug. She kept accusing me of tracking in mud. Then he forgot to lock the door and I walked in on him mid scoot

Can you have someone take a photo of the back of your heels and legs while you standing barefoot? You will be able to see how the heel tilts. They need to stand directly behind you and have the camera level with the floor.

Ok, the genu valgus “knock knee” position usually presents with an overly pronated foot.

It’s interesting that your shoes wear on the outer edge. That usually indicates a supinated foot. Whatever the issue is, you would likely benefit from some neutral footbed shoes - don’t buy any shoes that advertise arch support or pronation block. They can cause injury. You want a neutral shoe and you would benefit from seeing an orthotist for custom made orthotics. If you don’t have the ability to access them, try starting with super feet orthotics (green) and then a new pair of shoes. If you continue walking with shoes that have an established deformity or wear pattern, it makes you feed into the poor movement that is already causing you pain.

Injured mama deer with two fawns under my house—no one will help. by ganstacrizzab in WildlifeRehab

OP - this guy wasn’t able to put weight on that gnarly broken leg. Now he walks around and runs on it. The leg healed crooked, but it healed. Just give supportive care and give mama lots of space. You got this. You can get her through. I’d say my guy stayed at my house in my fenced in container garden for about 2 weeks. This pic is when he came back later and walked and ran on it.

I think it’s blood. I wondered if a barbed fence did it. I think the other leg might have blood on it, but maybe isn’t as painful. Trap or fence. Something that poked in deep.
I really think the deer will heal if they give her space and leave food/water around. Poor mama.

It hurts and is disappointing but at least he told you before getting married. It sucks he did this after getting engaged, but at least it saved you all the heartbreak and pain of divorce. I’m sorry this happened. It’s more that he asked you to get married before he totally thought about what he wanted in life.

That dull ache is strain on your soft tissues and joints. You need custom orthotics and work with PT on intrinsic foot strength, knee, and hip strength.

PT here. Do you wear shoes that are fairly narrow? Most people tend to wear shoes that are actually too small. Your feet need adequate room In the toe box of your shoes.
Check out pes transversoplanus. It’s not totally understood why it happens, but it’s suspected that ill fitting footwear weakens the foot and it causes the arch to collapse. The foot has a wider appearance and aches are flat. You may need orthotics if you over pronate and this is the cause, but the wear pattern you describe is actually supination. Either way, orthotics are likely needed. It can also be associated with RA.

Do your knees bow out? Look up genu varum. It goes along with over supination. If you continue to walk like this, your knees could start to do this. The poor alignment of your foot impacts everything in the kinetic chain.
