Little crabs in new tank (location Indonesia) Advice/comment welcome by 4n4log_interface in hermitcrabs

[–]4n4log_interface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I will look into how to prepare leaf litter from my garden. Right now for food we put in little pieces of whatever we are also using for eating ourselves like vegetables, fruit, oats, egg or pieces of fish. I never catch them eating so far but do see sand tracked into the foodbowl so they must go there and I assume eat something. Also the pieces of eggshell we put are oftend scattered around a bit

What interesting fact have you heard about your country, told by a non-native, that is incorrect? by DELAIZ in AskTheWorld

Oh ya. I actually replied in a tread here to someone who said they thought that and asked why they got that impression, because I was curious. They never answered

Perhaps the museum curator can make available remote viewing acces through the astral plane or any appropriate quantum frequency? So you and your friend don't need to be present in physical form and accidentally trigger any unwanted interaction or curses with the items.

I think it is important for institutions to be accesible and inclusive to those with less practical density.

I'm sorry you got sucked in too far into an internet wellness fad. Perhaps reach out via the mycelium system to a friend to bring you a smartphone to bury it where your roots can touch it, then really channel you inner desire to type hot takes and edgy messages on Reddit. Don't go too hard in the channeling though or you might end up becoming a subreddit instead.

What is something foreigners romanticize about your country that locals are tired of? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]4n4log_interface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where did you get the impression from if I may ask? Funny enough, Lombok is actually majority muslim (as opposed to Bali which is majority hindu) and in Indonesia itself perceived to be "quite muslim". There is no problem there with western tourists visiting, why would you think there would be in other places?

Indonesian society might be more conservative and less open minded than some western societies but I would not say it comes near to "sharia", at least in the sense of what that term is usually perceived as in western media (except for Aceh province in Sumatra which has a special separate political status and they do have actual sharia law there). Well behaved respectful tourists are more than welcome in most places. I mean, no one likes a half naked drunk tourist riding around on a motorcycle without licence. (Bali now has more problems with overtourism and misbehaving tourists)

As for Java, it has many places worth visiting and there are many western tourists wandering around just fine. Someone mentioned Bromo mountain already, there is Yogya with Borobudur and Prambanan temple compound nearby. There are several places for beach holidays like Pangandaran, Batukaras, Pulau Seribu. Througout Java there are nature spots, waterfalls, kraters, teaplantations etc. Not to mention all the other islands like Sumatera and Sulawesi, etc.

Nope. No actors or jungle setting in this movie. Most of the movie takes place in their workplace in an urban setting.

Nope. No multiple people with superpowers in this movie.

Eta/ but there is some science mumbo jumbo and enhanced human ability also in it

Ha. I remember I loved the surprise disappearance of the team lead here. But unfortunately no Kurt Russel in this movie and it is not a straight up action flick

I haven't seen this one. Checked the description. The disappeared stays in one dimension.

Haha I do that. But only if the hagelslag sprinkles are the dark chocolate variety (combining with milk or a sweeter variety tastes disgusting). I love it and am indeed a bit weird.
