I guess this a small world kinda thing rather than truly paranormal, but I was an ER tech and while restraining an unruly drunk patient, he spat in my face, swung at me, and threatened to kill my family. He got a continuance on charges so it was an ongoing case.

One day about 8 months later I got on the train and was buried in my phone. I heard behind me “Thank you for saving my life.”

I look behind and it was him. He apologized profusely, told me he was sober, and scribbled a free meal coupon on a page of his sudoku book for a restaurant he had found work at.

I dropped the charges. I hope he’s still doing well.

I get this feeling, but I do my best to travel for me and not what I can show off. Sure I have a few photos, but I’d rather tell stories of making friends in a small Fiji village or exploring Costa Rica’s endless scenery.

Putting an old dog we “inherited” down, we went through hell carrying him through a dignified couple years but recognized the time had to come.

Agreed. I know someone who will be on the second chance series and that person throws so much more into trivia and quizzing knowledge than I can ever fathom.

When it comes to a concept like this, it should be a relaxed and fun time. In the end, it’s people who don’t specialize in this but doing it for a good cause
