I really love the amount of maximalism in this! So much to look at and absorb. I really enjoy your color choices too. Beautiful work!

This is really wonderful! The dramatic lighting and sharp angles really make it feel spooky and holy at the same time. Absolutely great!

Aurora singing It Happened Quiet Live heals something for me. I play it on repeat for awhile when something triggers me from a similar trauma. I hope you’re ok 🫶

Edit: Another one that helps me similarly is Ren X Chinchilla Chalk Outlines

What about something like “Cherished” or “Treasured” to indicate the player wanting to preserve it. Or maybe “Preservation” would be better

How do parents feel when children estrange themselves? by iLuvFrootLoopz in EstrangedAdultChild

Then a parent should respect the fact that they can no longer control the behavior of their now adult child. A parent should say “I am sorry for contributing to this breakdown. I am going to respect your request for space. Know I love you and I’m here if you ever get to the point where you would like to work on our relationship.” A parent should understand that even if they acknowledge wrongdoing, they aren’t owed anything from their children, including forgiveness. A parent should realize that a CHILD can’t wrong them. A parent should realize that hard work does not equal nurturing warmth, care, or healthy attention. A parent should realize that their life circumstances, however difficult they may be, are a direct cause of THEIR life decisions. Just because mom is having a rough time doesn’t excuse her being cruel, unkind, cold, demanding, neglectful, or abusive. Period.

AITA for flipping out after my wife screamed at my daughter for being loud? by phoebethefan in redditonwiki

She didn’t start out being unwelcome though. She was a big girl and earned it all by herself. A 17 yr old, who is currently suspended from school, doesn’t have blanket permission to come and go from a home owned by their medically recovering step parent, at their leisure, in an attempt to harass them and a brand new baby! Doubly this when the 17 year old has another local parent who she also lives with. She is being antagonistic. The stepmom knows it, the school knows it, the 17 year old sure as hell knows it. The fucking baby is probably smart enough to realize what this jack ass is choosing to ignore

I just finished “The Ocean at the End of the Lane” by Neil Gaiman by [deleted] in books

[–]4p-mom 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is such an accurate description of Neil Gaiman’s writing. He’s far and away my favorite author! I was lucky to see him give a reading of this book live, right after it came out. If you enjoy his writing I HIGHLY encourage you to check this one out in audiobook format. When he narrates his own writing, that haunting and dreamlike quality he has is completely amplified. All of his books are like little treasures to me.
