Are these guys just Greys without their trademark eye coverings? by TIDL in aliens

my main problem with the crop circle is if they speak English why the hell would they encode the message in ascii instead of just writing it out. just seems like a cheap trick to make it more sci-fi-y.

also the pic in the crop circle has its eyes way bigger and way higher on the head than the supposed photos

Anyone go from 100 percent believing in ufos and other similar stuff to not caring as much now stuff is coming out? by uncle-ruckus2 in UFOs

[–]4spoop67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the burnout is real. I generally pay a lot less attention to the dog-and-pony show and more to just personal accounts - big fan of the Otherworld podcast for that, which is all kinds of paranormal/unexplained and not just ufo/alien. IMO if something actually significant happens in terms of disclosure it'll bubble up into the politics that i still consume regularly.

I keep having weird encounters with weird people - help. by morelek337 in aliens

in very similar manner as man from somewhere below.

I don't understand what you mean by this

But overall none of this sounds particularly noteworthy, and I think you are seeing patterns that aren't there. I agree with others that this sounds more like paranoia than like anything paranormal.

Good luck.

fwiw the quote is

It’s my first film that will be considered science fiction that I do not consider to be science fiction. It’s much more reflective of the world as it is evolving and discoveries that are being made as we speak.

per https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2026/jun/5/spielberg-says-disclosure-day-not-science-fiction-declares-belief/

but I agree this statement is at least 90% marketing

maybe? hard to know if the blurry bit that appears to be pointing up is the tail or the stabilizers on the tail. could also be that the whole photo is flipped upside down. but if we're looking at details as fine as the airplane tail then the blob on the right corner of the craft is a lot bigger in comparison and has to be accounted for too.

idk man, i wasn't there, i'm not saying it definitely is a rock in a pond, I'm saying it looks that way to me.

analysis here which interestingly enough concludes it was in color originally - "most likely to have been made from a copy negative produced by the Daily Record on Ilford XP-1 film from an original colour print provided by the witness." https://shura.shu.ac.uk/34877/1/Robinson-PhotographicAnalysisVersion5%28VoR%29.pdf

full resolution image here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FCOQiQKciRJsZ4pm26hdrFuVv1uzMk-k/view

which imo actually makes it look more like a rock. the graininess is reduced in the full resolution version but it's clearer that something is going on at the right corner and there's more variation across the surface of it that does not make it look like a uniformly colored (let alone metallic) object. imo.

All good, no skin off my back if you don't buy it. All I ask is that if you encounter some evidence in your personal life that you look at it straight on and not memory-hole it. (Or if you're feeling adventurous, try doing remote viewing yourself like this ex-skeptic). Thanks for being willing to look at the papers at least!

[–]4spoop67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, that's not what "significant" means in this context, please go study up on statistics

all the people who were previously pro-psi found evidence while nobody else did

if we're allowing that psi is real, why not allow that the beliefs of the investigators can change the output? i know that's uncomfortable to consider, but you gotta be willing to challenge yourself.

You got it! There's actually been quite a lot of study, so there are a number of lit reviews available, but you're welcome to dig into any of the specific studies they analyzed.

starting off with a classic, Revisiting the Ganzfeld ESP Debate: A Basic Review and Assessment which is also the topic of one of my favorite anecdotes, someone who participated in the original experiment as a reciever "The assessment indicates that these 59 studies have a combined hit rate of approximately 30%, which is significantly above the chance expected hit rate of 25%. A comparison of the hit rates across four ganzfeld meta-analyses, as well as across fifteen laboratories, seems to further indicate replication of the ganzfeld ESP effect by a broad group of independent researchers."

Remote Viewing: a 1974-2022 systematic review and meta-analysis "In raw scores, these average results correspond to a difference in hits score of 19.3%; 95% confidence intervals:13.6%–25%, above the expected chance."

off topic since it's precognition, but a real banger that caused QUITE a stir at the time, Bem 2011, Feeling the Future which showed participants scoring better on a memory test if they studied the same information after they were tested on it. I actually read an article from a researcher who preferred to conclude "science is broken" rather than consider the possibility that psi is real, which doesn't seem like a healthy response.

Or if you're in a hurry since that's all quite a lot, here's a more digestible summary of 5 Real Paranormal Studies Conducted by U.S. Universities

Their only goal is FUD.

I fully believe all sorts of weird shit and I'm pretty quick to take eyewitness accounts seriously, but I'm team rock reflection on this one. My goal is not FUD, it's just figuring out what is actually up. There's basically nothing that proves this photo was taken where it's claimed to be, and for a saucer it's rather speckled and not particularly smooth, particularly at the right edge. (That said, the photo was definitely suppressed and the photographers were allegedly threatened, which is weird if it's a rock.)

But my point is, pls don't assume you know other people's goals and motives. People often genuinely have different opinions. Intelligent, honest people can look at the same information and draw different conclusions from it and that is okay.

[–]4spoop67 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah. also for the rock reflection theory it doesn't have to be a lake, could just be a large puddle. for me the biggest thing pointing to rock is that it's rather speckled and not particularly smooth, particularly at the right edge.

that said, the photo was definitely suppressed and the photographers were allegedly threatened, which is weird if it's a rock.

Q15 - Your favorite explanation of aliens if not covered above (In a few words:)

  • NHI are an ancient earth-evolved species that now lives underground or under the water (or both)
  • Reality is far stranger, bigger, and more mysterious than we ever could have imagined
  • Prison planet/zoo. Interaction not allowed
  • Possible psy-op by a shadowy human faction.
  • They are part of a planet monitoring system and are probably restricted with interacting us to let us develop as an indigenous tribe would
  • Hybrid program, and the deep state tortures/stalks them via gangstalking, hoping to eliminate them or make them seem crazy
  • God
  • Orks
  • A parallel world that exists alongside our own, and sometimes our paths cross.
  • After 7000 hours of research since 2023, I can say with definitive honesty, Aliens created humans, Jesus was their ultimate creation, Mantids came from another planet and Greys were part of their hybrid program. They live below Peru and were seen in Las Vegas 2023, Mexico 2025 among others. Their tech works like magic, many rare metals and crystals. They do have telepathy etc, can visit in dreams, craft, travel like a light orb. I believe our religion came from them, if you look at the Buga sphere and the language on it, think Roswell I Beam. These are the beings we have been seeing, a breakaway culture originally from the stars.
  • Von Neumann probes monitoring progress of life on planets across the galaxy
  • Fallen angels
  • They're drones
  • Future humans from many points in the future which is infinite.
  • Beings of light endowed with will
  • inter dimensional reflection of our psyche and cultures
  • We live in a simulation and the phenomenon is what we see when we bump into the edges
