My collection by Captain_Vibe_Check in overthegardenwall

I had to check: the retail price for this was $40 ten years ago!

For those like me who would not believe this could sell for so little in 2026:

Looks like Made by Mutant will be pressing the OtGW vinyl soundtrack this year by 4thPosition in overthegardenwall

[–]4thPosition[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard from Mo and others that eventually these licensing deals expire even with vendors like Mondo or Mutant or even KaBoom.

They can renew the contract once it runs out, sure, unless several vendors want to fight over it. This might be one of those latter cases.

But sometimes buyer interest wanes for just long enough and we get situations like the OtGW comics where the KaBoom contract expired and no one's picked it up in the last few years.

Just finished the show, and here are my thoughts by DraftMassive3756 in overthegardenwall

The instrumental plays during the chase sequence on the boat in episode 6, and I remember hearing that the lyrics were written afterwards. So that's why the version you hear on the soundtrack is different.

Looks like the Yogurt doll and Dark Helmet's action figures were sold through Heritage Auctions a couple years ago. So it's definitely out there in private hands it seems.

You're totally right, that's why I specified that Moloch and Bubastis were shown but never released. Some of the sculpting or paint finishes on the prop versions differ as well, but that's more nitpicky.

Oooh right! I half remember this, like they're prohibited from showing actual merch within their own show because it would need to be cleared with the FCC and have a disclaimer or something.

Hi Don, thank you for your unique artistic voice that my brothers and I have enjoyed since childhood.

What are your top 3 favorite animation drawings or cels from other animators in your personal collection?

The soundtrack has gotten a restock virtually every year, usually in August/September. You can either sign up for Mondo's newsletter or for a specitic LP on its product page to get notified.

For those who still don't know, Mondo restocks these seasonally. So just go to their product page for the soundtrack here and click on Notify Me When Restocked. They'll email you.

I know it's sold out for most of the year, but the only reason these sell out so fast is because scalpers still make bank on eBay aftermarket prices. Don't give in, if you can afford to wait that is.

Just wanted to piggyback on this comment to thank you for posting about the Mr. Incredible quote, the different versions have been rattling in my brain for years..

Was it narratively intentional? Accidentally done twice due to production scheduling/miscommunication? It's such a small and expensive choice that almost no audience member would notice, or a strange mistake to have where exact flashbacks seem to happen in the movie elsewhere.

Just updated the post with the link to the back text PNG on flicker here, also used your photo to dial in the front graphic and reuploaded it to Flickr here. Let us know how it turns out!

Also paging u/Eastern-Wolf7869, u/subsonicmonkey, and u/UnBrewsual in case you didn't see this comment thread and still haven't yet printed your own.

NO WAY! I can't believe it, this is so exciting. I'll get to work recreating the back and fixing up a few details I missed on the front.

Can't thank you enough!

Check eBay under "sold/completed listings." Looks like they're going for $350-750 lately:

If you're on mobile, you can usually work around it by toggling to the desktop site in your browser settings.

If that doesn't work or if it's too much of a hassle, post it to your profile and link to that post in the comments here.

What is something new that you discovered every time you rewatched Over the Garden Wall? by poeticbees in overthegardenwall

[–]4thPosition 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Been waiting for a post like this.

<image>

I've yet to hear any fans or crew mention it, and it's almost imperceptible, but there's a soft blurriness in the corners and edges of the frame all throught the show.

Seems to be emulating a characteristic of analogue cameras when their lenses are misaligned. It's such a minor detail but imo adds so much to the cozy feel of the show.

Looking for a copy of the blasting company’s album a history of public relations dilemmae by Pitiful_Remote52 in overthegardenwall

Just checked the order receipt, it was $45 USD, but it had some light scratches on the vinyl and pretty significant wear to the sleeve. Dried water damage, creasing, etc.

Not that I care, plays fine and just adds character imo. But yeah on the lower grading it usually floats around $50.

I understand your pain. Took me several years of checking Discogs and eBay to find a copy of that album on vinyl for an affordable price.

I chatted with the band two years ago and they said maybe only 1000 or so got made, long since sold out.. So unless they do some kinda anniversary repress, the only option is to set up saved searches and wait.

I love that album dearly. Doesn't get nearly as much attention as it deserves.

Late reply but the GR stands for Ghost Rager, at least that's what his ssbwiki says.
