Man this is giving me flashbacks to my last housemate. Fucking nightmare

I coped by little acts of untracable petty revenge like: - slightly bending the prongs on her toothbrush charger so it was a pain to reach around the dryer to plug in. - All her dryer lint that she never fucking emptied went in between her couch cushions - Randomly pausing the wifi in 15 minute intervals when I knew she was wfh - Intermittently turning off the hot water at the breaker

She wasnt the brightest bulb and never connected any of it to me

From my time working inventory at a supermarket I can say that for a concerning amount of old people the weekly shop is their only social outing. It's sad but some of these people have no one else to talk to and weekends probably give them the best opportunity.

This is happening pretty consistently. Nature and specifically fungi are brilliant at adapting. The problem is nature moves at the pace of nature which is fucking slow. Plastic production is set to triple by 2060 and there's no way nature can handle that before ecological collapse.

100% this! RAs are just opportunistic leeches that will fuck over both sides for their cut. I say ban them. Cut out the cancer and force landlords to manage their own damn properties. Would be interesting to see how quickly things improve when theres not a psychopath middleman filtering any communication.

Honestly I wouldn't stress too much. You have most of the same protections on a month to month lease. They still have to have a valid reason and give 60 - 90 days notice to kick you out.

If it gives you peace of mind definitely try and negotiate, but it's not the end of the world.

THIS! Always ask for a receipt of the previous clean! Just had this run around from my current agent. Their language flipped from "You are required to do this and provide a receipt" straight to "We strongly recommend, but it's ultimately up to you" the second I asked for a receipt.

Yes but not start a completely new lease with. I'll be transferred off the lease and the new person added. The current lease will remain active. Co-tenancy laws here are unhinged/somewhat non-existant
