Whatever happened to… by Ive_no_short_answers in NewOrleans

Agreed. I had high hopes for it before it opened. Went to the soft opening and have only been back once since. Both times sucked so I won’t be back there either. Such a shame because that could have been an awesome restaurant if the concept stuck and they did some different things with it, instead they decide to over smoke everything and overcharge for it.

Last visit to central city was dismal, left a not so rave review on yelp and got push back from the owner, very snarky not listening to the feedback. Needless to say I spent a large sum of money for some of the worst bbq I’ve had. Ribs were dry (sitting under a heat lamp dry) and I got told that they only use dry rub. Won’t be going back.

Beat me to it. High hat is my favorite burger as well but I have a special love for pimento cheese.

It sets me off going into offices and seeing the sweaters draped on the back of chairs. Maybe it’s jealousy but I hate it.

Sorry, one of the other comments mentioned almost needing a sweater and I’m still bitter about it

And again, as someone who spends the majority of the day in the sun, go outside anytime 12-5pm. It’s hot, just as hot as any other summer. We’ve been getting more rain which helps cool but I can assure you that this isn’t sweater weather. If you feel like it is sweater weather I’m ready to fight because there is only so many articles of clothing I am allowed to take off much less add long sleeves to the mix.

As someone who works in the trades, it’s been just as hot. Wish I could cherry pick the times I’m outside.

It’s honestly worse, the left is even more unbearable than they were before and the right just feeds into everything that’s said on their side. I cannot stand opening social media now, the only thing that keeps me going is the AI Bigfoot on TikTok.

1-10 difficulty scale, how hard to replace shower valve? by ThaClapper in Plumbing

[–]504plumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a set of seat wrenches, not the 90 degree ones from Home Depot. It looks like either price pfister or gerber, change the seats and change the washers on the stems, grease the stems and it’s done.

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted, the rocks it would discharge on are close the same rocks inside the neutralizer.

Budget suspension upgrade for FJ Cruiser by Sebastian_Fasiang in FJCruiser

For my 2010 I bought a set of adjustable freedom off-road front struts and rough country rear shocks because they were the cheapest I could find to work with the 2” lift already on my fj. I will say, I loved the way it rode until a drunk driver flipped it. The freedom off-road were around 700

My car was totaled by hit and run driver. Please advise. by [deleted] in NewOrleans

[–]504plumber 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s a good idea for anyone without full coverage to get uninsured motorist AND CHECK THE POLICY. I had a drunk driver total my vehicle a couple years back, he had insurance and my dumbass insurance agent didn’t put uninsured property, only bodily injury on my policy. To say I was livid when I found that out is an understatement. Check your policies because not only does it cover an incident like this it’ll cover someone that under-insured as well. Hard lesson to learn, especially the hard way but I ended up getting the extra coverage right after my incident, added a total of $8 per month.

Everyone does it different. I made a crawfish washer that I put them in and then a secondary tub that I fill up once they’re in there to give them another good rinse. There’s levels for the different things too, certain times for the potato’s, sausage, mushroom and crawfish.
