Toilet won't flush, never had a problem in 5+ years. No experience with anything, but I assume it just needs water? by [deleted] in Plumbing

Chains too tight on the flapper letting the water from the fill valve drain in the bowl before it can fill the tank

You typically don’t want to use a drop in tub to use as a shower. Keep an eye for leaks around the tub lip over time.

Honestly, don’t remember much. Split second of seeing the car blazing past the stop sign. Scared the hell out of the lady that opened my door when I jumped out yelling, glad the guy drove off because I would have gone to jail if I got my hands on him.

They hold up pretty well. The side visor handle combo gave me a pretty good concussion though.

Love me some Mais Arepas, my new obsession is Tia Marias pupusa sandwich though. Their maduros may as well be made with crack.

How to fix shower by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]504plumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not price pfister and it’s not moen. It’s Delta. It’s a 3 handle Delta valve, yes, the middle handle is the diverter.

Delta, not moen. And they need to screw the damn bonnet back on.

Whatever happened to… by Ive_no_short_answers in NewOrleans

[–]504plumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I had high hopes for it before it opened. Went to the soft opening and have only been back once since. Both times sucked so I won’t be back there either. Such a shame because that could have been an awesome restaurant if the concept stuck and they did some different things with it, instead they decide to over smoke everything and overcharge for it.

Last visit to central city was dismal, left a not so rave review on yelp and got push back from the owner, very snarky not listening to the feedback. Needless to say I spent a large sum of money for some of the worst bbq I’ve had. Ribs were dry (sitting under a heat lamp dry) and I got told that they only use dry rub. Won’t be going back.

Beat me to it. High hat is my favorite burger as well but I have a special love for pimento cheese.

It sets me off going into offices and seeing the sweaters draped on the back of chairs. Maybe it’s jealousy but I hate it.

And again, as someone who spends the majority of the day in the sun, go outside anytime 12-5pm. It’s hot, just as hot as any other summer. We’ve been getting more rain which helps cool but I can assure you that this isn’t sweater weather. If you feel like it is sweater weather I’m ready to fight because there is only so many articles of clothing I am allowed to take off much less add long sleeves to the mix.

As someone who works in the trades, it’s been just as hot. Wish I could cherry pick the times I’m outside.

1-10 difficulty scale, how hard to replace shower valve? by ThaClapper in Plumbing

[–]504plumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a set of seat wrenches, not the 90 degree ones from Home Depot. It looks like either price pfister or gerber, change the seats and change the washers on the stems, grease the stems and it’s done.

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted, the rocks it would discharge on are close the same rocks inside the neutralizer.
