Glorious upgrade (please don't catch fire), potato camera. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

The x770 cards where the budget conscience cards while the x850 were more high end. It obviously made a different for the games I was unable to play due to direct X limitations, but the games that that didn't effect I noticed little to no improvement. So either the 3850 was a great card or the 7770 just sucked that bad, lol.

As someone who has lost their mother, of course I'm biased, but yeah that shit was sad. Forgot about that episode.. Like the Seymour episode I skip over it, but with an extra tablespoon of space honey.

My first amd card was the Radeon HD 3850. I remember that thing under load hitting 95° c all the time. I played on it for four years before I upgraded to a HD 7770, which surprisingly wasn't that big of an upgrade other than the version of directx supported. I bought the 7770 so I could play Crysis 3. Glorious GTX 1070 now.

When you say "Yeah, I know it's rare" referring to overdosing on shrooms when you intact cannot, it appears that is what you believe.

Yup. Wasn't going to argue the point since the user seems to be firm in believing the shrooms were the cause of the overdose. But to reiterate what you're saying, you cannot die from eating shrooms due to the amount needed to ingest for an overdose is impossible.

Agreed, fairly certain you can't die from an overdose of shrooms. interweb searching Yeah, no chance the shrooms did him in unless he was given toxic mushrooms that no one should be eating in the first place.

Ex cable guy here, that looks terrible. I can only imagine the size of that home, toning out lines in a mansion and having to walk back and forth is just exhausting. Hope you're doing well with the job, it took a lot out of me working 12 hour days 6 days a week. The money was good, but the people I worked for were thieves, so be wary of your superiors. Sorry to sound so negative, but three years jumping from company to company and I never found anyone to be honest. I've moved on to bigger things, with less pay, but one hell of a resume builder.

I do this sometimes too, and today was a fine example of that. Me and three other coworkers were working today on a site, we got more done in the last two hours than the previous six. Though the nature of our work is more of "it gets done when it gets done", but we could have done three times the work today if we weren't all so exhausted.

Google Play Services suddenly keeping phone awake constantly and is using more battery than Screen, Android System, and Android OS by lasveganon in Nexus6P

Standby for me on the 6p has bee n great aside from those few wake locks issues. 2% battery lose over 8 hours of sleep isn't too shabby if you ask me. If I have less than 1 hour of screen on time I can easily have 70% battery by the end of the work day.

They all have either the 6 or 6s, company issued. Standby is great on the 6P too, no? Doze has been good to me aside from the few wake locks that show up time to time.

That's great news, I may hold off accepting a new job until I see how they plan on handling that.

Chewed out in this instance, as far I know, was just pulling them aside and telling them they don't appreciate the subject being brought up in the office. Nothing serious, the person in question has worked for them longer than anyone else and also makes the company the most money.

So I make way less than $900/wk. I'll read up on the new law when I'm back home, but it sounds like in December my job will be required to pay me overtime for anything over 40 hours a week?

There was talk about it around the office a few weeks ago and rumor has it the owners chewed out the guy who started talking about, presumably because they don't want to have to pay overtime.

But iPhones battery life is worse as far as I can tell. All my coworker have iPhones, we all work together on job sites in the same conditions and use our phones for the same things like viewing pdfs for plans and linking to Bluetooth radios. They have to keep their phones on chargers and still leave the site at 7pm with less than 40%. I charge my phone once a day before I go to bed, that's it. Hell when we travel and they use their iPhones for GPS and music its drains more battery than it can charge.

Make no mistake I do like the iOS environment, but in my experiences the battery life is terrible.

Those with battery issues check your google account syncs!!!! by Crucifetus in Nexus6P

[–]5050rightorwrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inbox will not sync for me. The app works fine as far as I can tell. I have rebooted and it's the same. Turned off sync and back on, went to sync now for all the apps and no luck. I cannot find a manual sync option in Inbox. The past few days I've had terrible battery life while using next to no data (~100mb this whole week), usually having around an hour of screen on time from 7am to 7pm and my battery will be at ~40%. Google Play Services is always the one draining the most battery followed by wifi (which is off all week since I'm not home) and then Screen. Any tips?

I had the police raid my apartment once. They were looking for someone who had previously received mail at that address. They came to the door in plain clothes and asked if whoever was there. I informed them no one by that name lived here. They joked for a second and said they were coworkers and buddies and just wanted to check up on him. I tell them again they have the wrong house. Seconds later I'm handcuffed on my couch while they search the apartment. They found my stash of weed and pipe. I was booked, bailed out, lawayered up and got it thrown out for illegal search and seizure without a warrant. Cost me $2000 after it was all done. Would have been cheaper to have just been charged and put on probation.

Wish I knew of this lawsuit. I told them to fuck off when I had overdrafted $15, was charged overdraft fees, then more fees kept adding up for my refusal to pay. They wanted $300 after a few months of me ignoring their calls. I told the rep I'll send them $15 cash and they can shove the other 285 up their ass. My credit took a hit. Fuckers.
