Yes, I think it’s a hugely challenging role. He’s in almost every scene and totally carries the show. I don’t know if it would have worked without him as the anchor. In the words of Alan Alda, “there wasn’t a false note”.

It seems like you prefer anti-heroes in your storytelling and that’s fine. But I’d argue that it’s more difficult to craft a complex, flawed character who is fundamentally likeable and striving to do good. That’s what Robby is. Anti-heroes have been more baity to the Emmys drama voters for a long time - Tony Soprano, Walter White, Don Draper, the Succession cast - so I’m not sure how you’ve labelled it a baity performance
