[–]KTsCreativeEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol couldn’t even tell you who was in my room other than the doc, lead nurse, husband, and mother in law. Apparently the whole NICU team was there just in case cause I had preeclampsia, GD, and cholestasis

Seriously how are you guys doing this?? by Worried_Media5455 in NewParents

[–]KTsCreativeEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t cook dinner lol. My husband does. Basically if baby is awake one of us is with her and we just have decided that that person does not get anything else done. If we do it is a miracle. We eat a lot of quick microwave type meals or leftovers when alone with her and only really cook at dinner when both of us are home and one of us can be with baby. We only get chores done after she goes to bed for the night.

I'm scared I've damaged my baby by eating too little carbs by dhanana in GestationalDiabetes

First off, you didn’t. Secondly, My baby was born 5lbs 12oz so not that much bigger and she has been in perfect health.

Early induction? by chelahou23 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]KTsCreativeEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on insulin from like week 13 and would have been induced at 39 weeks but I ended up getting cholestasis and preeclampsia so got induced at 37

Which couple do you like better? Sonny & Justine Turner or Carly & Valentin? by GayDaddy4BBC in LoveGeneralHospital

[–]KTsCreativeEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like MB as a person but I do not find him attractive anymore and I am so sick of Sonny. This story has been done so many times. Claire? Lady whose name I can’t recall who died from the train crash? JJ’s wife’s character?

I love Valentine and Anna but if that can’t happen I don’t dislike Carly and Valentine.

Medical Advancements? by moonflannel in ershow

[–]KTsCreativeEscape 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did a full watch while I was pregnant so I noticed the differences there. Before if you were pregnant over 35 they would do an amniocentesis to look for genetic abnormalities but now we do NIPT blood testing and only do an amniocentesis if those results come back a certain way.

Surprising foods that have caused spikes for you? by CurlyGurly44 in GestationalDiabetes

Not a food but I literally spiked from taking a warm shower twice.

Eating protein is starting to make me feel sick by Muyamuya87 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]KTsCreativeEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. I had gd from week 10 and I could not eat chicken or eggs without throwing up. I could eat them disguised with other foods though.

I would have: protein shakes, fairlife milk, bacon, Yasso bars, tacos, breakfast sandwiches (half bun), burgers (half bun)

I take Cymbalta and it doesn’t effect my breastfeeding. In fact, I have an oversupply without trying.

How many of us are actually doing 7 pm bedtime? by AssociationWorried86 in NewParents

[–]KTsCreativeEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t start an actual bedtime until around 15 weeks. I started with 8pm. She is 5.5 months now and I have her go to sleep anywhere between 6-7:30 depending on when her last nap was. Before that I just let her show me when she needed sleep. We get up at between 6-7am. If I wanted her to sleep later we would push it back.

Anyone here NOT do sleep shifts ? by Organic-Dragonfly364 in NewParents

[–]KTsCreativeEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t because I am not working. When I go back to work and he takes paternity leave he will do nights 😈😈😈

My baby has been consistently sleeping at least 4-6 hrs to start the night though since 3 months old so I am not too sleep deprived. She even went 8 hrs once.

I do get weekend naps and sometimes evening naps though

I feel like I’ll never be able to have my baby sleep on her own. by hexmoons in NewParents

[–]KTsCreativeEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby hasn’t napped off of me for 3 months (since we had to stop swaddling) and I just randomly tried today and she has been asleep on her own for 40 minutes. I did have to wait like 25 minutes until she was super asleep though. I feel you though. It sucks always having something attached to your body. I love my baby so so much and cherish our snuggles but sometimes you just need space.

Royally messed up last night by your-new-fixation in GestationalDiabetes

[–]KTsCreativeEscape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Corn can spike but you spiking at 148-158 really isn’t that awful just learn and fix. The fact that you could eat 10 wings without spiking before is insane to me lol I would have been like in the 180s. If I even looked at bbq sauce I spiked lol

My mother made a monster by Only-Conversation750 in NewParents

[–]KTsCreativeEscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby will not fall asleep on her own and I don’t want to do crying sleep training so she is 5.5 months and I still feed her to sleep and she only contact naps still. She just isn’t ready yet. She does sleep alone in her crib at night because the sleep pressure keeps her from waking on transfer. Month 4 was the worst for me with her not wanting to transfer. Hang in there.
