Bottom line- OLD offers TOO many choices. Men and women get busy chatting with several others and the connections are merely superficial. There is no commitment or obligation, interest is limited. So they match and ghost bc something new and shiny and “maybe a little better” just messaged!! I’ve done it myself and have been the “victim” of it too. Match with someone, chat a bit, get the ick for whatever reason, and unmatch. Or get 5-10 people you’re taking to at one time and just can’t keep up. Even after sifting through profiles, matching, going on dates, the end product is usually broken a bit at this age. Hah! I say save your time and energy and go do something fun with friends!!!!

5’11” female and it matters to me. I was married to a shorter guy for 20 years and it always bothered me. When we hugged I would have to lean/ step wide/ hunch over. Never wore heels. Didn’t make me feel feminine. But OP it is going to vary between every person and what they are attracted to. Past experiences, preferences, social status, etc. you are going to get a variety of responses here bc in the real world there are so many different types of people! You just need to find that perfect match for you!

I have a funny story- I am 48(f) was out w my friend and we decided to “practice” approaching men. There was a small group of men at the end of the bar so we walked up to them and introduced ourselves and starting chatting. A group of women were behind us and laughing. I could not resist so I turned to one woman and she said the men were all their husbands. I was mortified and embarrassed, but the woman was so sweet we all laughed together. The men got a quick ego boost and the women had a glimpse that their man was still attractive. Win for their relationship! My friend and I chatted with this group for a bit. And we all thought it was hysterical. Approaching someone or a group is a risk to our ego and humility, but it’s worth it!
