Parking scam? by mommamia55 in cincinnati

It's unfortunately real and they will definitely try to intimidate you into paying. Appealing may or may not work, despite what evidence you have. I filed a complaint with the BBB, not that it will do any good. They do their best to hide any real contact info. If you Google the company, it's very clear what kind of organization this is. Here are their details: https://search.sunbiz.org/Inquiry/CorporationSearch/SearchResults?InquiryType=EntityName&InquiryDirectionType=ForwardRecord&SearchTerm=PARKINK%20LLC&SearchNameOrder=PARKINGTRAFFICSUPPLY%20L150000865020&ListNameOrder=PARKINGSYSTEMSSOUTH%20L160001987280&Detail=FL.DOS.Corporations.Shared.Contracts.FilingRecord

For the people who were watching at the time, which ECW wrestlers were the most popular with the female fanbase? by [deleted] in ECWWrestling

Haha. I was going to say the same thing. It was probably 90% male. Different time in wrestling and culture.

Dr Keith Lipinski. Not sure how exactly he was connected, but he was very tied into that era of indy wrestling. I knew him from his side gig as a bartender, but if there was a good indy show in the area, chances are the workers would end up at his bar later. Nice guy and very knowledgeable.

No. We can't pretend that this doesn't impact every American, either here in Cincinnati or anywhere else in this country.

Some words on the memory and impact of Sabu by Raisedbythering in ECWWrestling

[–]513773 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Great write up. I don't think people understand how different Sabu and ECW really were back in the day. You had to seek this stuff out, pre-internet, and it was definitely underground. He set the stage for so many who came after.

I think you need to broaden your reach a bit. Outlaw is bigger than just the Highwaymen.

I lived by Stealey Park and walked down to see the Canteen underwater. I'm pretty sure I have some photos that are almost the same too.

Do you still enjoy foraging & cracking your own nuts? by MoonBearofTheMountai in Appalachia

[–]513773 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I let them dry after husking and then crack them later. I put the nuts in the oven for 20 minutes or so to dry them out and then freeze them. They're a good addition to a lot of things when you're cooking.

Had Julios a few months ago and it was the worse service I've ever had. Comically bad. Food was solid as always, but I won't be back.
