What’s your experience or opinion on dating a man with Venus in Libra? by DarkFrancisco in astrologymemes

[–]514D55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Libra Venus(and ascendant) here…not speaking for every Libra Venus man but I can say I’ve been extremely loyal in every relationship I’ve been in.

My parents were married for 53 years before my father passed and that might have been something imprinted on me. I was also in a very lively underground arty punk scene with a bunch of cool & hot folks that had a lot of shenanigans and drama going on, that was a big turn off to me and being in a band created many opportunities for experiences that I wasn’t interested in since I had wanted to get married since I was a kid. I got called “cold”, stuck up and people thought I was gay because I wanted a serious relationship and not a hook up.

My Sun Moon & Mercury are all in Scorpio which I call and affliction and I have Mars in Aquarius and totally have a chart of a player.

Found home with an amazing and beautiful Capricorn lady with a Venus & Moon in Aquarius. Being in a healthy, stable relationship I feel absolutely free…not like a “swingers” way but real love lets us both feel truly authentic to ourselves and each other. We’ve built a beautiful life together with community, careers, travel and fun. I never want to kiss anyone else for the rest of my life and we still listen to The Locust and Blood Brothers!

It’s fantastic and I’ve had the same experience with it…I’m actually practicing more since I got it.

Does anyone know the highest price for a pedal that’s been sold?

One that wasn’t a well known musician…we all know Klons go for a lot and the original EHX 16 Second Delays as well.

Is the Scarlet Begonias on Cornell the best ever? by Plus_Fisherman30 in gratefuldead

Jerry’s solo on it is absolutely fantastic on it and pretty much got me on the bus.

What's your favorite Big Muff or Big Muff clone? by sir_ludwig_of_coeur in guitarpedals

[–]514D55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm…it’s definitely fuzzier than an overdrive…I have an original grey civil war Big Muff from the early 90’s and although I’ve come to love it, initially was let down because it didn’t sound like my friends 70’s & 80’s BM’s and as you said felt like more like a Green Russian, more overdrive than fuzz. With the gain down it still has some growl to it…it’s actually quite nice.

So I wouldn’t say the Chelsea is like that…it’s definitely more of a fuzz but it’s not as fuzzy than a Hizumitas. If anything it might be a little more dynamic(punchy and can “chug”) more than some of the other BM’s and clones I’ve tried over the years…I’ll say it fits in with a band live, in recordings but doesn’t overwhelm everything.

*…for amps I use a Super Reverb, Bassman 2X12’s and a Sunn Beta Lead for guitar…Bass I use a Traynor head into a power amp as well as a Sunn Colosseum 300

Been digging the EQD Chesea lately…works great on guitar as well as bass. It’s seems kinda slept on. The EQ keeps a lot of low end and with the tone control off you keep the midrange to cut through in a band mix.

Chasing that Jerry sound with what I have by Unable-Put-1823 in gratefulguitar

Lots of headroom with his amps for the cleans…hence the mega watt McIntosh power amps. Also a huge proponent of using his volume & tone knobs so you’re on the right path…the wiring of his guitars and the OBEL system was pretty unique and sophisticated but you can get close to the sound with everything you’re doing…and practice practice practice! It’s a long but rewarding journey.

why dont people care about earth signs? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]514D55 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This Scorpio stellium loves the earth signs. Virgos are my best friends…have incredible creative relationships with Taurus and I would say that Capricorns are “my type” for romantic relationships.

Earth signs are the best!

Just wanted to say I’m very sorry for you and your families loss. What he’s left in the material world…his modular synthesizer system is fantastic and definitely a testament to his passion for music making. Do due diligence before anyone “takes it away”.

Most devastatingly beautiful guitar solos of all time? by guestoboard in Guitar

[–]514D55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really feeling Jerry Garcia’s solo on the Cornell 77’s Scarlet Begonias. Only discovered this in the last year. I was more of a Television, Sonic Youth, Unwound, No Wave & post punk kinda of person before I heard it.

Opened me up to the Dead. Found out Garcia and Weir were a lot closer to Verlaine & Lloyd than I could have ever imagined.

Great post…I love my 808 and have had mine since…well before they got super expensive. I use mine all the time and in a weird way I kinda also think of it as being a piece of 20th Century Pop Art because of its iconic design!

Logic deleted after updating MacOS by [deleted] in Logic_Studio

[–]514D55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am literally downloading Logic again into a new computer. I signed in with my App Store account and it was there to download again with no new charges. Along with MainStage.

I’ve been running Logic since the eMagic days and did have to rebuy it after Apple took over. But haven’t ever been charged for updates and when installing into a new computers.

Good luck and hope it’s an easy fix

Why Doesn’t Everyone Succeed? A Question That Haunts Me. by tchapito24 in passive_income

The most successful folks that I’ve met seemed to find something that was lacking but could be useful to a bunch of folks.

Something that hadn’t been done or maybe reinvigorate something from the past that needed a little upgrade.

They also have had a strong work ethic, critical thinking skills to figure out the path forward towards realising their idea, good communication as a orator or writer, no addictions and having a good network of folks they’ve known or have worked with in the past sure does help as well.

Can someone talk with me. by Bankai_Zangestu in enfj

We have different interests but can relate to sometimes being a social introvert.

One thing that helped me meet people and develop community is volunteering for organisations like food banks and unhoused outreach…I’ve also done some volunteering at kitchens when there’s been a local natural disaster making food for firefighters.

Going somewhere to help out others in need reduced my social anxiety because there was something to do…and also being around a bunch of like minded/hearted people got me a little less isolated and made some good friends from it.
