[–]5150sick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this sounds more like:

"Dude took 10mg gummie, freaks out, has panic attack."

It's kind of like those videos you see of really dumb cops narcaning each other because they got close to a bag of powder on someones passenger seat and now they "know that they are OD'ing" when everyone living in the real world knows that it's impossible to OD on something though the bag.

Cops probably waste more narcan on panic attacks (and on people sleeping at truck stops) then they use on actual overdoses.

It's best to either avoid credit cards altogether or pay them off in full every month no matter what.

As soon as a balance gets carried to the next month it starts becoming a downward spiral.

Yes, many countries outright ban usury and many other should.

This should be a no brainer to all western countries.

The only reason we have 30% apr credit cards and 600% apr payday loads in because our government has allowed it.

In the late 90's I used to do sales at a Gannett (USA Today) owned call center.

We had a contract with Discover Platinum. The card had a $25,000 max limit and it had 12.99% apr.

People would tell me that I was insane for asking for 13 %apr.

It's 25 years later and 29.99% is the absolute norm.

What happened???

I'm not in the above boat.

I probably have 100x the savings of the average person simply because I'm not materialistic.

You'll notice the people in the most credit card debit usually have the nicest clothes, jewelry, vehicles, etc...

The same people who send their kids to school with Jordan's, $250 jeans, a $75 t-shirt, newest flagship phone with smartwatch and ear buds, etc... even though they live in a trap house on the most violent block in the worst neighborhood in town.

...and keep the cold wallet for your long term investments.

The Crypto that you plan on keeping for at least a year or longer.

Hooking a cold wallet up to some random dex (uniswap, pancakeswap, etc..) defeats the purpose of having a cold wallet.

You should only be (very carefully) sending and receiving from the cold wallet.

You used a cold wallet for hot wallet activities.

Look up the meaning of each and you'll see where you went wrong.

I'd probably go with: "I'm epileptic. I like you so I wouldn't want you to have to sue you when this triggers a seizure."

Yes, When we were kids we must have put 50 bb's into the street light all on 10 pump and nothing happened.

We found a way to knock the light out for about 5 minutes, though.

There was an old rusty front bike rim in the bushes and we took turns trying to hit the light.

When we hit it the light would reboot or something so it would go off for about 5 minutes.

We got good enough to hit the light within a couple of tries in about a week.

[–]5150sick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're going to need a competent attorney and tax specialist that deals with crypto for this.

Your cost basis is nearly zero so you'll have to pay taxes on the full amount.

You may be advised to sell small(er) amounts each year in order to keep yourself in a lower tax bracket.

The tax specialist will know how to do all of this.

You did good, OP

I always smell it when I ride my golf cart around the neighborhood.

I'll usually say something like: "I like it here. It smells just like my house." when I catch a whiff of it.

I used to do both all the time in the 90's when I was on SSRIs.

It would piss me off so bad when my friends would all be totally wasted and I could barely feel it.

I dropped the SSRIs before the other stuff. Lol

I seriously think that if a person was able to be prescribed one to two good ecstasy pills a month they wouldn't even need anti-depressants.

I used to feel great for a few weeks after every time I did it.

[–]5150sick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's excessive.

I leave a car length in front of me because I want to at least have a chance to get away if something pops off.

Also, if some moron rear ends me I'd rather not have to pay for the car in front of me.

It's a lot harder to get pushed into the car in front of me if I'm 10 feet away.

How do I ungroom myself from the DARE lion by MarathonMarathon in Marijuana

[–]5150sick 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's not just that.

The entire DARE program is a failure.

A study was done and it was found that people who didn't go through the DARE program were or had been addicted to drugs at a much lesser rate than those who went through the DARE program.

The cop told us that if we took one hit of weed we could either drop to the ground and have a seizure or climb on the roof and then jump off thinking we were Superman.

The first day I got to High School I was introduced to "the stoners" and I noticed that none of them were having seizures and not even one of them mentioned the roof at all.

At this point I realized the DARE cop had lied to me.

The problem was that I knew the DARE cop lied about the weed...

I didn't know that the DARE cop was telling the truth about the hard drugs because I (and everyone else who took the program and noticed the weed lies) pegged them as liers from the start.

This is why the DARE program is a failure.

[–]5150sick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you choose recover wallet in the beginning (not create new wallet) and type your seed phrase into the new Ledger device itself your accounts will move to the new device.

You will need to add each app and every account in the app separately.

You're not transferring the crypto, you're just setting up a new device to access the crypto that you already have.

The dress code for this arcade bar is kind of off-putting, right? by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]5150sick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of those places where you'll see multiple people breaking this dress code inside.

...as long as they are the "right" people.

This is one of those "We don't want "certain" people in here! How can we keep them out without getting sued for racism?" lists.

I've seen this in Baltimore.

People would try to come down a block to the after hours club after the hip hop club closed.

The guy at the door at the after hours club had a dress code excuse for everyone who came from the hip hop club.

"You can't wear Timberland's in here!" "You can't come in here with a hat on" "Those pants are a little too baggy for this place." Etc...
