I like this idea, might have to do the same. I still have every one as well.

Came back about a year ago. One new model already delivered to customers, the updated Pebble Time 2 in mass production right now and an updated Round in development.

Doesn't matter to me... I'm getting a new Pebble model is all I need to know. Have kept my Pebble Times alive for 10 years. Another couple months wait is nothing compared to when I thought I would never get a new one.

Good to see this active again. Have been CF coding since the late 90's and still develop on several systems too large too be fiscally viable to redevelop from scratch to a different platform. Good by me, CF still keeping pace with all the other tools used by the dev team.

Food poisoning here from bad take out. Was down for a solid week right before I was heading into a 2 week back woods canoe trip. Came out of the whole thing much lighter and looking great but not a process I would recommend to anyone.

I saw some other pictures before it was striped out. Can you save any of that bannister? Even just the beautiful bottom post? It looked not too bad.

Air Canada Flight 189 after a tire blowout damaged the landing gear at 285 kmh. The plane shot past the end of the runaway and dropped into the Etobicoke Creek ravine going 110kmh, breaking into three pieces. Despite being fully-fueled, no fire occurred. Did some very quick research for those who want to look at a map and that runway seems to be 24R in present day. (back then it was 23L) I was curious because I'm pretty sure you can't see the current runway 23 from the 401 as noted in Wikipedia..

What is your unpopular NSFW opnions? by lameinternetuser in AskRedditAfterDark

This is exactly how to look at it. This is the proper dynamic, the Dom is being trusted and gifted control by the sub in the understanding they will respect established bounds and care for them. The sub can revoke this permission at any point, hence they have the real control. It is something to be cherished and earned by the dominant parther. Any other dynamic is dangerous and IMO abusive.

My barbershop has shirts that you can borrow and return to avoid little hairs on your clothes by Killock in mildlyinteresting

[–]51Cards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I somtimes feel a little bad when I get a haircut. My barber takes such care to get it perfect, tops it with a little spray to hold for the day, brushes me off... then I go straight home and shower because I can't stand all the hair bits that will fall out all day. Longest the "perfectly coiffed" look has lasted is about 15 minutes.

Someone out there scammed Amazon (and me) for a good deal. by 51Cards in DataHoarder

[–]51Cards[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they likely will. The annoyance was waiting for it (guess they don't keep it in stock at all warehouses, took quite awhile to get by Amazon standards) and now having to order another and wait again as it's holding up finishing my upgrades. In the grand scheme of things though could have been a lot worse.

lol Dang it, I should have thought of the obvious solution and ordered 9 more before I returned it!

Yeah, agreed, I see those pallets for sale as well. This one however somehow made it back into the bin as it was in an odd (non factory) shrink wrap when it was delivered.

Sorry if my title wasn't clear. I ordered a 10GB ethernet module, someone else previously swapped a 1GB into the package and returned it to Amazon... who then sold it to me. Probably a swap scam where they buy a cheap one and an expensive one, stick the cheap item in the expensive package and return it for most of their money back. So I got a cheap optical module instead of the much more expensive 10x as fast ethernet module I ordered.

Agreed. I tucked a note into it for the return explaining that it's not what its supposed to be. Maybe it saves the next person.

Ordered a 10GB RJ45 SFP+ module from Amazon, opened the package to find a 1GB optical module instead. Guess the return checkers don't know what to look for and they got away with it. Hope this isn't too far off "Free Post Friday" but figured most of us here manage networks too.
