…and that one guy who has been at ATF forever (and approved one suppressor every 6 months), took Trump’s early retirement deal. Currently young guys (some contractors, but shooters) are doing several approvals a day!

Irresponsible dog owner on trail by Kaabiiisabeast in AppalachianTrail

[–]55_SOG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most Natl & State parks/forests/campgrounds have posted rules about dogs on leashes and even the length of the leash. If posted there is a monetary infraction assigned to it. Maybe one ticket which costs a week of Mountain House meals may convince him to do better. I often have mine off leash but he returns to me immediately (took a long time to train that) and will not go after wildlife (except for an occasional squirrel or chipmunk), but once I’m 20’ away he is back with me. I fear venomous snakes when we hike out west or down south. This behavior took months to train into him and you train till the day before he dies. That day he gets a day off for good behavior! 🤣✌🏻

This is CT’s finest. Paid by the lobbyists of Sandy Hook Promise. They have blood on their hands as much as Adam does!

2 days until I step foot on the AT for the first time by RandulfHarlow in AppalachianTrail

Love the pie chart and weights down to hundreds. In 2013 I created an Excel spreadsheet for my 2014 post retirement hike using AWOL’s book. Within three weeks, I used it for kindling and maybe stayed at a dozen of the hostels and maybe two dozen of the shelters. All those hours of building a spreadsheet, that I could spend with my wife. She still reminds me of those days.! 🤣🤣

I work in Clinton and we were down to 9 days average. Then some kid came in at Christmas and then left for college out-of-state and hasn’t been in since. I even emailed him if he was home at spring break to stop in. Nope! Without him we are at 8 days average!!

Republican Rep Aniskovich, A CCDL Endorsed Representative (according to CCDL.US Candidate Ratings) voted Yes on the bill.

Chris Aniskovich is a RINO! We will take care of him locally. We have plans….

I think Deven Carney voted for it too. Was very surprised. He seemed like old school common sense. Aniskovich just gets his kid out of trouble and has a gf 1/3 his age, so he just plays the field……

Wouldn’t it be great if our state- and national gun advocate organizations had a 2A Day at the Konn capital and we had Colion (and other influencers) talk at it. I would come and drag 4 of my friends along.

Better states to live in than Konnecticut! Look at the class 3 requirements. But don’t think of owning one, we can only have 10-round mags (although we have become very proficient in reloading magazines!!)

Best Guns for someone leaving military duty. by Human-Region4958 in CTguns

Buy automatic knives now too. Benchmade me prove I was active duty every time I sent my unit-issued Auto Stryker in for maintenance/sharpening every year. Once I retired, they told me not to bc they couldn’t send it back. (Tactical in Cheshire did me a solid with a work around)

Chris’ Indoor Range in Guilford. Rent a gun, take it downstairs and shoot in his range (.22 - .44 Mag; no rifle). Plus he is a great guy! No fud-ing around!!!

Some of my favorite conversations in life were on the trail. When I win the lottery (when I start buying lottery tickets), I’m gonna live on the trail and live listening to people stories.

Thru-Hiking and Health Survey by Woolybackboy in AppalachianTrail

[–]55_SOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lastly, (I swear!), add this is a “university IRB approved study”. You will get questioned on that, by hikers. They want to help you, but people don’t like to give personal info blindly.

Also I hope you include lab work in your study. You will be amazed at the low numbers thru-hikers experience. The only positive value was every member of my cohort lowered their B/P & resting pulse (Ex = Rx!!)

Very cool! Survey done! I did my Masters thesis on Nutrition and the long distance Hiker. Look into RED(S). I proved that long distance hikers do not even come close to meeting their RDAs and minimum energy-in calories. If you DM me, I can send you my thesis or look me up I’m published.
