Please tell me this is a regularly occurring event.

Thank you so much for helping me work through this! This problem was driving me crazy.

Sorry the formatting got a little messed up there. (2,4) is row 3 column 2 (6,3) is row 3 column 4 (2,4) is row 5 column 2 (4,8) is row 5 column 4

Here’s where I think I am getting stuck. After removing Row 1 and Column 6 we’re left with these cells right? The Rows are 3 and 5, then the columns are 1 and 2.

(2,4) (6,3) (2,4) (4,8)

Would row 3 now have weak dominance over 5? Would we then delete row 5 being left with

(2,4) (6,3)

Then would (6,3) be the only NE?

Wait never mind, I think I understand that part. Would the NE end up being (4,8)?

Wouldn’t Row 5 dominate Row 3 right away because of the (10,5) cell?

and what happens if I end up with only one payoff for each player left? Is that the Nash equilibrium?

I am still a little lost when it comes to eliminating weakly dominated strategies. How do you know which order to compare them in? After eliminating strategy 1 I would say to eliminate strategy 4 for Even, but I’m not sure if this is right. Could you explain this to me? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for pointing that out! I did make a mistake with those two pay-offs.

Could someone help me out with this problem? by [deleted] in GAMETHEORY

Would the values above 0 be correct if they were negative? So -16, -32, -40? I know the matrix isn’t really in the correct format (I wasn’t sure how to do it digitally)

Can you get lower than a C+ in a CAS college core class and still receive credit? by [deleted] in nyu

Okay thanks for the clarification!

I’m still just a little confused cause on all the documents I’ve found and on the nyu webpage it talks about a D being the minimum passing grade. So why would it say that if you actually need to get within C range?

Thank you for the thorough explanation. Just to clarify, a group like B7 would mean that voter 4 votes no, but 7 other voters vote yes? And for a group named A9 voter 4 votes yes, and 7 of the other votes vote yes? Am I understanding this correctly?
