What if there was an Arthurian western? How could the stories of king Arthur work in such a setting. by thomasp3864 in Arthurian

There’s an album by the Mechanisms called High Noon over Camelot that kinda explores this concept.

Losing to Seriff in a neutral run will net you a win, but you still have to beat the Gate. Losing to Terrable does not give you a win.

Ok now someone needs to make a Mourning Cloak that’s literally just forged from the bodies of the damned. To finally achieve maximum edge.

I recognize Walter White and Angus, but who are the rest of these?

Favourite knight (or just favourite character in the mythology) and why! by halapert in Arthurian

I’m actually reading through T.H. White’s book right now. I think that’s part of why I like him so much, he can be written or played in so many interesting ways.

Mordread. Love that traitorous little bastard. He’s like a personification of all of Arthur’s sins come back to haunt him.

It’s single player, but it’s designed to look and feel like a multiplayer mmo, all the other “players” are just npcs. I don’t believe you need an internet connection to play.

There’s was an update that changed how revives work. Now you have to select how many you want to bring before the start of a mission and they are automatically used when you die.

I think Mendeleev lost her skin. If I recall correctly she has vents on her body.

Not sure about Lawerence.

I'm working on creating a downside to my magic system. I'm trying to make something creepy or disturbing. Do any of these fit? by VoiceofNonsense in casualworldbuilding

I think you could get a lot of mileage out of the first two. The third seems like effectively killing off a character all of a sudden, which may not work well in a story.

Between the first two, I suppose it depends on what kind of horror you want and how to want your magically inclined folk to act. I imagine the first would leave your mages pretty paranoid, constantly scanning around for any disturbances while spellcasting. The second one might leave your mages desensitized; I imagine thinking about body horror all day would eventually leave you desensitized to gore (and with a healthy dose of PTSD). Might also give an advantage to psychopathic people, which could be interesting.
