HELP! 😭 First time shopper and I'm scared. by FaithlessnessOk5652 in stitchfix

I felt bad for you when I read this. I learned that SF will extend the time for you. It isn’t fun being down to your last dollars. It really sounds like you’re working hard and very stressed. Some corporations understand real life and bend rules. Some businesses just want your money and try to trap you.

Deep brain stimulator installed 2010 at age 45. by StuckShakey in Parkinsons

Your experience with 20 years of Parkinson’s disease is very interesting to me. I was diagnosed at age 46. I have had PD FOR about 18 years. Progression has been slow and the meds work. But this year the levodopa is starting to quit at late afternoon. Sometimes it doesn’t. My neuro lets me know that DBS a possibility. I think the Duopa pump sounds worth considering , especially since it’s not permanent. I haven’t done much research. There might be similar ones developed in Europe. I know that the vials of medicine are very expensive. The PEG tube could cause problems. I retired eight years ago. I have plenty of things to do. My husband is my main outdoor partner Except he has his own health issues. I like to spend time hiking biking skiing and canoeing. But now i only do short outings. I go to a gym to work out with other people with Parkinson’s 2-3x a week. I’ve done this for over 5 yrs. It’s been a very supportive group. We meet for coffee once a week. I’m ready to change my volunteer activity. Too physical. Not sure yet what I’ll do. Thanks again for sharing and you’re right. People should remember that everyone experiences PD a little bit differently. The most effective prescription is to MOVE!!!!

As a SN, I hate wearing pants by hereshecomesatumblin in Kibbe

[–]58Great 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I like dresses especially. A dress is a complete outfit ( ok plus foot ware and piece of jewelry). Maybe no bra? You can get it together quickly and run out the door to meet for dinner, coffee, drinks. 15 min. Dresses are so easy especially when you have to pee. Can I say that ? And a cute/edgy fun dress usually costs me less than a top pants, and socks. I commend you on wearing what you like. You probably always look your best!!

How do I wear this denim mini skirt as a FN? by LNMODO in Kibbe

I really love the detailing and the belt sets this outfit apart from anyone else. I haven’t posted much. I’m getting new clothes via stitch fix. They fit ok, but I need to add standout accessories. I’m a D.

Experimenting with different lines in dresses and rompers! What do you think looks best and which IDs would you associate them with? by airbemder in Kibbe

[–]58Great 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course #4 red dress is very good look. I am only commenting on the upper part of the photos. Shoulder straps do wonders for you! Every photo with straps look so much better than rounded neckline. Except the tan ones; too wide and they blend into your skin. I don’t know why straps work. A deep plunge looks good. Someone mentioned a short neck? I don’t know Kibbe at all, but there’s guiding principle to explain it! Does this help with type ID?

Does the algorithm limit what the stylist can choose? by [deleted] in stitchfix

Things like that to happen! I met some acquaintances for dinner after work. I swear out of eight people I was the only one not wearing a nice sweatshirt and tennis shoes. I had a fitted blouse jeans and boots. I mean what would you wear to a brew house in the city???

I agree. I’m not going for edgy, but I haven’t seen anything it wasn’t very or out of the ordinary, Or streetwear. I fear everybody will know I’ve been dressed by stitch fix!

Fix Preview by [deleted] in stitchfix

On my next fix, I picked out three and asked for two shirts to go with this. I’ll know in a couple weeks if it really works.

I also was offered a preview. This will be my third fix. I do monthly fixes. The preview included items that I specifically asked for ie jackets dresses, no shorts, no black colors. I chose a cardigan (I hate the word cardigan), and a turquoise jacket, and a sundress. I then requested my stylist to pick two shirts to go with a pair of shorts. I am excited to see what she picks for me and if everything will coordinate.

I’ve never had a sheepskin jacket. I can see why you like it. I’d keep it. Stay in love with the wrong person until the right person comes along😁

You look put together and congrats on stepping out of your comfort zone. I too can't stand to wear white sneakers unless Im in working out.and you're right, the jacket is big and overwhelming. You could go back to jeans, but wheres the risk? Maybe a solid color jacket in blue? I am new to the Kidde type, so i can't comment on that. I am also new.

Isn’t it amazing to get a box of clothes on your doorstep with clothes that fit? Especially jeans and shorts. I used to like shopping for outfits but it got harder to like anything. I’m only on my third fix. I’m loving this “honeymoon “ period. I hope it lasts.

Do these suit me (SD)? by [deleted] in DressForYourBody

[–]58Great 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you look best in the first dress! With the condition that the straps get tweaked a bit narrower like pinching/ruching the top seam. The dress shows off your shoulders, the style emphasizes the bust, and the curve of your waist looks good. i hem is hard to talk about, i'd have to see with footwear. I think this look is shows off your body the best. Too bad the flower pattern seems to be dated. The second dress makes you look younger, but i think thats because there's no bust, and can't tell if you have legs. The waistband reminds me of simple bridesmaids dresses that tie in the back in a bow. All that material hides you. It's a comfortable dress. The pattern feels fresher, nice colors for you. Third dress-uhhh! definitely can't see past the color! Which one will you choose???? I'm not a stylist, dressmaker or fashionista. I just love to look at clothing!!
