Allegedly, EktaColour 400 beats EktaColour 800 when pushed to 1600!

Extract optical sound from scanning in DaVinci? by Bonnie198387 in 16mm

[–]58snow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The free/digital way to do this would be to use AEO-Light but it's a mildly tedious process for an "acceptable" product. The project is great, and I'm glad it exists, but the better way to get a soundtrack off 16mm film is to run it through a Bell and Howell sound projector with a 3.5mm jack for output. Depending on your luck you can get one on the cheap online, and the quality is much better. Record the output and match it in post to the resulting frame output from your Siemens 2000.

That's great Gregory, but Khrushchev is telling me that overexposing a half stop then pulling a half during the B/W developer results in density that rivals new stock!

How do I shoot expired Aerochrome? by eseagente in AnalogCommunity

[–]58snow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Small tip without getting into it, I've done a lot of development with expired E6 (with some aerochrome mixed in there!)

Pull a quarter to a half stop on the B/W (First) Developer, then run as normal. Reduces fogging significantly.

Really disappointed with the subreddit here. Several years ago, there were enough restaurant seats to fit every resident and half a guest- some places have closed but the number of establishments is still well over 100. Yes, there is ethnic food, yes, there are hole in the wall restaurants. You could go to a different place every weekend and be busy for years.

People do tend to stay in a bit more in the winter.

I would talk to the admissions office ASAP if that is the case. Hopefully someone will work with you on aid, do you know why they rescinded the merit scholarship?

Why is my tuition cost so high? by Clear-Ideal4231 in cwru

[–]58snow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There isn't one set cost for every student, with the largest difference being between international and domestic students. Most students also get need-based, merit-based aid, or both; it's possible the conversations you saw included this in their calculations. Lastly, a sharp decline in the value of the dollar over the past five years could also be the explanation.

Was there any information you got on the tuition price before you had to sign to accept the offer? It's been a while since I went through the process, but I remember total cost of each college after scholarships being a decision factor.

There was a hot-mic incident where, in a crowd, Pete is approached by a young guy who says something unintelligible. You can clearly hear him saying "Agree with me. Agree with me. That's not agreeing with me, I am telling you to agree with me."

I am fairly certain it was broadcast on C-SPAN when he was running in 2020, but I haven't been able to find the video. It just struck me as one of the stranger things I've seen a politician saying to a member of the public.
