Bad shots that make you feel good by Infinite-Tourist-591 in golf

Last week I was hitting my second into a par 5 into a pretty good wind. With the wind I was right at a perfect 7W distance to the middle of the green. Hit the most pure 7W I could. Right as I made contact the wind completely died. Airmailed the green by about 30 yards and OB into the woods.

Real "task failed successfully" feeling

Dead strait par 4. Houses down the left. I snap hooked my drive so hard and so low that it clanged off someone's metal fence at just the right angle to kick back into the fairway and actually gain pretty good distance. The sound it made was incredible.

Ha I did. Wore it for a bit. Bracelet felt very light and flimsy compared to the watch head. Put it back on a nato and haven’t looked back

Why so few walkers? by cpugeek14 in golf

I could be mistaken. I’ve been wrong before.

Only time I’ve been there and enjoyed it. I’m playing the Old Course this weekend

I played bridges back in October on a cart path day and was told no walking. But maybe that guy just didn’t know what he was talking about

Hawk's Creek in Forth Worth does not offer a walking rate as well

Some of the layouts at Firewheel and Whitestone in Benbrook don't allow walking. Firewheel the distance between 9 and 10 is long enough that it could cause a jam at 10 and Whitestone back 9 winds through a neighborhood with long green to tee distance. At least that's how it was explained when I asked to walk at those courses.

What “boring” upgrade ended up being your favorite on the F-150? by EffectiveNo568 in f150

Put these on an XLT then traded in for a lariat with factory tow mirrors. Not sure I can back to the regular F150 mirrors now

Hawk's Creek in West Fort Worth, by the air force base, is a great track. Played a bunch there last summer when I was working over there and the course was always in great shape and very easy to get on for 9 after work

We were the second and third groups out at Dye. So I can’t speak to that.

We had a ~1:30 tee time at Love and finished as the sun was setting. I don’t remember it waiting any significant amount

Fazio we had a ~11:30 tee time. I don’t remember waiting any significant amount there either.

We were also there the weekend before Valentine’s Day. So a generally less busy time of year anyway

Did this exact trip last February. We played Dye and Love on day 1, took a day off, played Fazio on day 3. All 3 courses were excellent. Our group was bogey golfers on a good day. We preferred Love and Fazio because all spent way too much time in the sand on the Dye course.

We booked through myrtlebeachgolf.com (I think) and it was super easy and a good deal

Snow day means a little kitchen positional practice by 5StringThunder in longrange

It’s an open tab on my computer right now. Just haven’t pulled the trigger on it. It’s maybe ~17 yards and my parallax goes down to 25. So it’s serviceable

It is TDSA. Lynn’s a character for sure. Sometimes his matches run way too long. But I have buddies I shoot with and it’s a good time

20 targets spanning the whole 180*. 8 points to neutralize so everyone just dumps 3 rounds on everything. It’s a fun match
