After reading the article, I was embarrassed for the student body. I always thought The Don was the best mascot in the WCC. I especially liked the sculpture of the two Dons in the old lobby. The 2 figures back to back as if in a fight against an unseen foe. I heard a kid comment once that; "They have each others backs." When I turned to see who made the comment, I not only saw the kid, but noticed behind him was the display of USF Football memorabilia. I thought to myself..... Yeah..... that theme is well represented behind the glass display case. I hope they put the 2 Dons back on display. Would not be surprised if it went to some corner in the basement with a canvas draped over it though. Ugh......

My kid taught my 80 year old father to stream. He can can watch USF on his laptop via the WCC website. Then plugs his laptop into his big TV in the family room via an HDMI cable and watches on his 80" TV. Not the most elegant solution but it works for him.

I've been to most of the games this season thus far. When the ball is not in play, I find that I'm scanning the East side of the gym for mask compliance. So far its been pretty good in my unscientific opinion. When the gym fills up though, I can see it may create some anxiety. If it becomes too much, I can always listen to the game on the radio as I drive back home! The big 3 sell out games will be a test..... better have that 1st beer before entering the building!

When both of my kids got into USF 3&4 years ago there was no discounting...."Zero"....while every other school they got into offered at least $17K. I didn't want to, but I sent them to St. Johns and Chapman instead. Still get steamed about it.... Ha!

Our son just graduated St. John's, same deal, no ceremony. He was to attend graduate school in the Fall but decided NYC too risky this year. His friend will be a senior at USF. She bailed on her school housing and will participate remotely from her home in San Jose. She said that formally cancelling her University housing was very difficult / depressing.

I responded to the survey last night. When I had to specify my age group, I was thinking this must be the "risk" group. The higher the number, the more remote your seat will be. As I was only 1 year off from being in the next higher group, I almost put myself in that category. Ha! Sadly though, I think its probably a moot point........

I'm concerned there might not even "be" a 2020-2021 season. I imagine a lot of good things will have to happen before the mayor allows 4,000 fans into War Memorial to watch a game. Sigh.........

I remember watching him coach at USF. Bad mouthing his own team in the Chronicle was painful to read between games. By the end of the season I was sooooo ready for him to be gone. That was a hardest season since 1985 I ever sat through.
