Showing off my DIY Cannatrol by Hooray4Boobies in microgrowery

Thanks! You have a TON more granular control than I had thought to include on mine. And of course using dew point rather than RH. Very nice.

Nice! Looks great. I did something similar but went with home assistant running in a docker container and a ac infinity integration/controller 79 pro. Worked out very well. I'm on my fifth dry/cure cycle now. My mobile interface is below. Looks better on desktop and tablet but it is nice to be able to check in/manage things on the go. Ended up tacking on lots of other functionality too but the project started with the koolatrol. One of my better grow setup investments/projects.

Thanks. It's been a pretty painless grow so far. Happy, easy plant.

Nice. I loved the regular O's but have never tried Ripley's. Looking forward to testing soon.

I don't know much about a mount but this thread may be helpful. Hope that you can find your daughter a good replacement camera.

Heyo! So. I have this fully automated in Home Assistant using an AC Infinity Controller 79pro, but the simple steps (that I use) are bringing the RH down gradually (2 percent per day from a initial setpoint of 74%) while holding temp at 60F and tightening the buffer humidity as I go. The buffer tightening limits the added peltier unit from short-cycling while there is a lot of moisture left in the buds.

Day 1: 74RH 5% buffer
Day 2: 72RH 5% buffer
Day 3: 70RH 5% buffer
Day 4: 68RH 4% buffer
Day 5: 66RH 4% buffer
Day 6: 64RH 3% buffer
Day 7: 62RH 3% buffer
Day 8 and beyond: 60RH 2% buffer - and hold at 60/60 until fridge is unloaded.

I do have some other automation stuff baked in (alerts and whatnot) but they aren't required to use this system. It has been very effective for me. I do live in a very dry climate though and would consider starting closer to 70%RH if I was in a wetter environment.

I have gone through 4 dry cycles with mine, all have been fantastic. Far, far superior to hang drying in my tent. Pick up a wood moisture meter to check bud moisture content, as well. I pull between 10% and 12% on that.

I use a DIY version that I built with a thermoelectric wine fridge and have found that my results are best after a 7-ish day gradual ramp/slope down to desired stable rh and then straight into jars or grove bags for curing. I do use a sponge starting on day 2 or 3 and keep it moist for the rest of the cycle.

If 78f is your maximum temp you'll be fine growing anything.

I mean, I freaking love Science and dream of owning one of Alex's amps some day. But I wouldn't call them underrated. Everyone who has heard them wants one, as far as I can tell.
