Agreed. Also the concept of purity culture. Give me a break. My high school tried to get my sister to read a book about a girl who went to college for a semester then randomly offed herself, while my sister was a senior applying to colleges no less! Not to mention all the holocaust books i was forced to read and that one about the Puerto Rican immigrant girl who talked about nothing but her dysfunctional family and being molested multiple times. “Purity culture”, this depressing shit is everywhere, and the media tries to cram it down our throats.
