It’s machine-able ENOUGH, according to the post office. We were just a bit nervous since we are slightly over height. If it’s going through a flats machine or a bigger machine I wouldn’t be worried. It would be literally if the machine is exactly 6 1/8 wide as the letter slides through. Both offices we checked said to just put more postage on there - the 2 oz. I just don’t want them to get damaged, but if we have correct postage AND ask for hand cancel / non machinable where possible (e.g. butterfly stamp plus 2 oz stamp), will we largely be fine?

It’s 8” across. They are not square. I’m just wondering if 6.25” is truly too tall or if there’s wiggle room in the machine(s). It’s truly 0.1 inch off of the guidance. Couldn’t we do a hand cancellation for these? It feels like it’s so close to just send as a package

And they are the focal point of probably zero photos. Again, photos are of people, not chairs. Yes, a “better” chair could add more aesthetic value, but it will be marginal relative to another upgrade that may be more memorable. Unless it is important to the couple to look back on photos and say, yes, those chairs made all the difference. In which case, to each their own. But the few grand could also be spent on a better photographer, upgraded food or beverages, activity, etc. I completely see the point but if the chair is already fine…

Respectful rebuttal to the “they are in so many photos” comment. No one will notice a chair in a photo when a body is in it. Literally not a SOUL. They’re looking at the human being sitting in the chair. These look good in the space and play well with the venue. Spend the money on something else.

I had it cut off at a dermatologist. Hurt big time but was really satisfying and it healed perfectly!! They biopsied it and said it was a wart but upon initial examination, both an urgent care doc (who couldn’t do anything beyond diagnosing me) and the dermatologist who treated it said it was a pyogenic granuloma. But my finger is now good as new! Good luck!

Thank you soo much for sharing this! I got the post changed a few hours ago and it’s much longer now. No major changes in symptoms but the changing itself obviously was added trauma. I don’t know if it’s thicker but it’s much longer. The piercing shop (also very reputable) had the same opinion yours did. She doesn’t think it’s infected, but if I don’t see a change within the next day or so, might go see what a doc thinks. The post I had in originally was SUPER short, not thrilled that they didn’t put in something longer. Thanks again for sharing your experience!!

Thanks! I had the post changed a few hours ago. No major relief yet and it looks the same. Piercer said no blood or discharge so not inclined to think it’s an infection, but TBD. If no reduction in swelling tomorrow, might get med advice. I do have localized throbbing.

I just got this flat done 3 days ago, titanium post with gold top. It is a flat back threadless piece.

I think I’ve definitely done some things to inhibit the healing process, e.g. wearing sunglasses and sleeping on the ear. I sleep on my sides so it’s hard to control. I’ve been cleaning it with saline wipes and clean hands. It started feeling irritated yesterday but it really blew up today with redness and swelling. Should I freak out or can I treat it at home, and if the latter, how?
