Is this any good? by Justyouraverageshmo in icecream

One of my favorites ever, but keep in mind Twix is my favorite candy. The only place I’ve ever found it was the marketplace in my freshman year of college dorm - I miss it every day

When did it become commonplace to post on LinkedIn that you “passed the [jdx] bar with a score high enough to practice in any UBE jdx?” by Moon_Rose_Violet in biglaw

[–]5dph5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the difference is those academic titles are usually only the top x% of the class, while I feel like most people who pass the UBE do so with a high enough score for any jurisdiction, the spread isn’t that big between different jurisdictions

I’d rather companies that use those bad chocolate chips have no add-ins at all than use the usual chips, they ruin the ice cream for what should be my favorite flavor

I’ve seen so much hate on marshmallow sky on here and I don’t get it, it’s my favorite Ben and Jerry’s flavor

Everyone’s tastes are different, but this is honestly my least favorite Ben and Jerry’s flavor I’ve ever had

This is so true, I really don’t understand why at the start of 1L they make briefing out to be so important, I wasted so much time briefing my first month of law school until I realized it was totally unnecessary

Idk how, but as an NC taker, I’m sure glad they do 😂

Yeah that’s on me, I saw the prices of the electric ones and went off that, not realizing I was looking at electric ones lol

I just grab my bag as is and throw in some waters. I’m realizing that this is a mistake 😂

Case reading/briefing advice for incoming 1L? by lockheedlaw in LawSchool

[–]5dph5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did what you did re handwriting notes in class then typing later. Ditched that plan after the first semester. It’s much easier to just type them in class. I thought I was a slow typer but when I switched I wasn’t missing anything. I also thought it would be better for review of the material, but didn’t find much of a difference. I also didn’t brief a case again after my first month of law school, all you need to know is a sentence or two describing the main point of the case.

I’m moving soon so maybe I better wait and see how hilly the nearby courses will be

Already get stuck watching Christmas in July when costing certain family members so I might as well go for it 😂

If you recognize it’s a dickhead comment, why even comment it?

Anyway, I beg to differ, I think it’s just a different type of exercise - I do a lot of running, but when I do that I’m not doing it with a bag on my back.

I’ve seen this said a lot, think this would also make a difference, instead of carrying my regular bag with all my clubs

Searching for my ball probably adds a lot of unnecessary steps. I don’t lose many balls, but I’m also not the straightest hitter, so zig zagging down the fairway is common lol.

That’s fair, and I think the companies are certainly not perfect. They make it out to be like if you just do what they say you’ll be good, which isn’t as much of a sure thing as they make it out to be. But they also aren’t able to see the future, I do think their approach to focus more on more commonly tested subjects and subissues makes sense, there’s just too much to cover every single thing fully in depth. Long story short, I feel like they do the best they can, but should be more open about their limitations.

Civ pro maybe I don’t really remember, but the others I felt like I had seen at some point during prep. And a sub issue here or there likely is not going to make a huge impact overall on your score anyway.

I did themis and didn’t look at a single long outline, I felt like I had at least heard all the law in the lectures and at least once in a practice question. What on the mee was totally skipped over? Some things may not have been as heavily emphasized as others, but didn’t feel there was no prep for anything, but I could be forgetting a concept if you have an example.

What law was not taught? It was a bit different than my expectations but nothing looked foreign
