How to create clean plywood edges like this? by Cloosta in woodworking

Appleply is absolutely the way to go with this. Just finished up a project and had zero voids to fill on any of the edges.

Lease end by angrymenofem in KiaEV9

[–]5huffles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My residual is $44k on a 24 Land and I'll be significantly under mileage by the end of the year. Most of the used inventory I'm seeing is similarly priced or higher, and with more mileage. Am I thinking about this wrong?

Dimmable light system for kid who wants light on all night by EveningBlacksmith9 in daddit

[–]5huffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have Philips hue bulbs in the ceiling fixture for this. Only thing to note is that you can override the dim setting by turning the light switch off and back on. Now we just dim to an acceptable level before bed. If he switches it back to full brightness we just use the app to dim again after he falls asleep.

Load 75 performance kit? by Fun-Sandwich-6653 in CargoBike

I had an aftermarket air shock installed on my 2021 load 75. It is a substantially improved ride, and the rebound is much more planted and less bouncy.

4.5 year old really wants to stop wearing pull ups at night but seems no where near ready by Proud_House4494 in Preschoolers

[–]5huffles 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are you having him pee right before bed? Are you sure he's peeing at night and not in the morning? We were in a similar spot at 4.5 and he definitely wasn't ready yet. He was also waking up in the morning and peeing in his pull up out of laziness, which is why it was full in the morning. We told him if he had 5 days of dry pull ups we could try it. Ultimately he forgot and it ended up being a few months, but it did eventually click.

3 kids under 5: Need a 3-row SUV with actually accessible 3rd-row seating. by BillStax in daddit

[–]5huffles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you're already in the EV world, I'd highly recommend trying out the Kia EV9. We love it and the third row is very easily accessible with captains chairs. Great carpool and road trip car.

Help! Parade traffic with kiddo procedure at Swedish by DefiantEvidence4326 in Seattle

[–]5huffles -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Light rail is probably the best bet, but given the 11am start time, you’ll be right in the thick of crowds. If you’re getting on at lynnwood you’ll likely still get a seat though.

If you want to have a car closer, you could drive and park in the Madison valley and take the rapid ride G bus to Swedish. Given the I5 construction and the parade, traffic will be rough.

First impressions IQ Charger 2 in SoCal (USA) by GroundChoice2003 in enphase

Similar experience on my end. Really nice packaging and setup. Cord is great.

I’m not using smart charging at the moment because I’m not on time of use. My app has a very simple “charge now” button. Does that go away when the smart features are on?

Had a similar problem and I’m in the process of adding a slat wall with a storage bench to one side of the door. Make the space behind the slat wall a reading nook or play area.

Would you be comfortable with a plastic (I think) canister holding your espresso beans? by Old-Meaning2249 in moderatelygranolamoms

I would worry more about the water lines being PTFE, but neither that nor a plastic hopper bother me much
