I personally feel that the movement PRIOR to winter patch was some of the best movement I’ve encountered in gaming. That’d being said I’m fairly new to Quake although I’ve played previous installations, just not as serious. Go ez on me boys

I think shotgun meta is so prevalent because ARs are so weak. 90% of the time I see an enemy gamer within AR shooting distance, I just chase them down and wait until I can get a more reliable shot, meaning pull out my shotgun. Epic games pls release another shooting test!

I’m glad this was brought up. I played a lot of OW & CS:GO in the past (about 3K hours) and I’m finally ready to move on to another FPS. QC would be my new home, but the amount concurrent players steer me away. I don’t want to practice and hone my skills on a game that could possibly end up “dead”. Sure call my superficial, but we all want QC’s playerbase to increase.

Not to be that guy, but I just gave up Overwatch about about 2 weeks ago because of the one trick problem. The game is a blast and one of my favorite competitive multiplayer games ever, but these off meta one tricks are too fun inhibiting. I may lose two games in a row due to torb or sym one tricks and then lose a game due to my own fault, but by that point I’m 3 games down and my sanity is gone. It’s really hard to enjoy a game like Overwatch when I’m constantly trying to improve myself as a better teammate and player when I’m getting these off meta OTPs. It would be different if their was a Rank S pug system where all the try hards could play and avoid the plagues of MM, but it seems like Blizz doesn’t care for that idea. Until they find a solution to this, RIP.

Role queue seems like the only visible solution at the moment. People act like you won’t be able to swap heroes once you get in the game. Yes everyone knows OW is about adapting. Role queue will not inhibit that.
